Scope and Limitations of the Study

The proposed product of this study is calamansi peel marmalade combined with jackfruit,

pineapple and peanuts. The study will also be limited to the residents of Catarman, Northern

Samar and nearby municipalities of Northern Samar as the locale of the study. The study will

include respondents who are local residents, students, working and non-working individuals.

This study was conducted with limited resources because of the existing quarantine

protocols. The values included in the financial aspect of this study will be limited to the

estimation of probable revenue for the business. This would result to probable higher or lower

values. The study covers the five different aspect of the feasibility study namely management,

technical, marketing, financial and socio-economic plan.

The management plan identifies the form of ownership, the structure of the business, job

analysis, and company policies that the researcher had formulated. It focuses on how to manage

the business effectively.

The technical plan covers the specifications of the product, raw materials to use, list of

machineries and equipment, labor requirements, location of the business, utilities to use, and

computation of unit product cost.

The marketing plan includes the computation of annual demand and supply of the

product, the demand-supply gap presentation, target market, and strategies to implement the plan

for product, place, price, and promotion.

The financial plan reveals the capitalization, sources of funds, total sales, total expenses,

income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, return on investment, and ratio analysis.
This area discusses if the business is profitable or not. In addition, it serves as a guide for the

researchers to know if the transactions within 5 years are increasing.

The socio-economic plan includes the social benefit and implications that the proposed

business will contribute to the economy and its community.

In conducting the study, the researcher expected to encounter physical, time and financial

constraints.
