THTTLE Working At Height Procedure PURPOSE This procedure provides guidenlines for all personnel who are required to work at height, contracted directly or indirectly to work on PT. Tiga Pilar Energi promises/ workshops or site project. RESPONSIBILITIES It is the responsibilities of the project site manager and supervisor to ensure that all personnel working at height on their site project are complying with this procedure at all times It Is the responsibility of the HSE Manager or his / her delegated at each work site to ensure that all personnel are aware of this procedure and are completely familiar with it’s requirements It is the responsibility of all personnel who work at height to implement the quidance Containes in this procedure and to maintain the highest standards of safety whilst working at height. Rules Any person working at height must be protected from failing. This protection may include : * The construction of scaffolding including hand rails * Safety harness with backlines + Temporary work platform 5.2, Working Platform ‘A working platform is aspace provided to work where the worker may safely carry ut activities without the danger from failing Number of Document | Date of Retease Revision Number “00 Page 406 5.3. Alternative To Work Platform Workers may be allowed to work at height without the construction of a work platform or scaffolding they use the foolowing Fall Arrester A safety harness must be worn with a safety line whenever a danger from a fall of greater than 2 meters exist and there is no other protection such as handrails, scaffolding etc. Free fall with layard be limited to less than 2 meters. Only safety harness are acceptable for fall arrest. All personnel shall be trained in the use of fall protection equipment such as ; full body harness to ensure and better understanding of the need for the equisment and how it works. A safety harness spreads the load exerted on the body over much larger area and will greathly reduce the chance of a second injury. ‘There are two types of fall protection and three types of lanyard recommended by PT. Tiga Pilar Energi as bellows; Fall Protection ~ Chest Harness Class II — Body Harness Class IIT Lanyard ~ 3 strands rope lanyard — Shock absorbers rope lanyard - Web lanyard Which includes a shock absorber that meets an upper force limit of 1800 lbs Anchor points are securing points for attaching the lanyard of the safety harness, An anchor point that is fixed at an independent location of the work surface is recommended Lanyard length shall be kept as short as reasonably possible to minimize the height of a free fall Only PT. Tiga Pilar Energi approved and/ or supplied height working equipment shall be used by personnel employee and working in PT. Tiga Pilar Energi yards work site, Barricade The area below the working area shall be arricade off to prevent accident/ injury due to dropped objects Loose Item No loose items shall be left at height unattended. Wind Speed Working at height will be suspended if wind speeds reach in excess of 25 knots. Night Time Working Working during the hours of darkness is permitted, provided that adeguate lighting, communications and rescue arrangements have been implemented and is subject to acceptability by the Supervisor.
