THTTLE
Working At Height Procedure
PURPOSE
This procedure provides guidenlines for all personnel who are required to work at
height, contracted directly or indirectly to work on PT. Tiga Pilar Energi promises/
workshops or site project.
RESPONSIBILITIES
It is the responsibilities of the project site manager and supervisor to ensure that all
personnel working at height on their site project are complying with this procedure at all
times
It Is the responsibility of the HSE Manager or his / her delegated at each work site to
ensure that all personnel are aware of this procedure and are completely familiar with
it’s requirements
It is the responsibility of all personnel who work at height to implement the quidance
Containes in this procedure and to maintain the highest standards of safety whilst
working at height.

INSTRUCTION/ PROCEDURES.
5.1. Rules
Any person working at height must be protected from failing. This protection may
include :
* The construction of scaffolding including hand rails
* Safety harness with backlines
+ Temporary work platform
5.2, Working Platform

5.3. Alternative To Work Platform
Workers may be allowed to work at height without the construction of a work
platform or scaffolding they use the foolowing
Fall Arrester
A safety harness must be worn with a safety line whenever a danger from a fall of
greater than 2 meters exist and there is no other protection such as handrails,
scaffolding etc. Free fall with layard be limited to less than 2 meters. Only safety
harness are acceptable for fall arrest.
All personnel shall be trained in the use of fall protection equipment such as ; full
body harness to ensure and better understanding of the need for the equisment
and how it works.
A safety harness spreads the load exerted on the body over much larger area and
will greathly reduce the chance of a second injury.
‘There are two types of fall protection and three types of lanyard recommended by
PT. Tiga Pilar Energi as bellows;
Fall Protection ~ Chest Harness Class II — Body Harness Class IIT
Lanyard ~ 3 strands rope lanyard — Shock absorbers rope lanyard - Web lanyard
Which includes a shock absorber that meets an upper force limit of 1800 lbs
Anchor points are securing points for attaching the lanyard of the safety harness,
An anchor point that is fixed at an independent location of the work surface is
recommended
Lanyard length shall be kept as short as reasonably possible to minimize the
height of a free fall
Only PT. Tiga Pilar Energi approved and/ or supplied height working equipment
shall be used by personnel employee and working in PT. Tiga Pilar Energi yards
work site,
Barricade
The area below the working area shall be arricade off to prevent accident/ injury
due to dropped objects
Loose Item
No loose items shall be left at height unattended. All tools shall be tied to a

5.6, Acces to The Area
5.9,
Whenever practical, a reasonable acces to the work area shall be made by means
of ladder, either portable type or scaffolding materials.
Wind Speed
Working at height will be suspended if wind speeds reach in excess of 25 knots.
Night Time Working
Working during the hours of darkness is permitted, provided that adeguate
lighting, communications and rescue arrangements have been implemented and is
subject to acceptability by the Supervisor.

Step outside of an access platform or ladder without attaching your
Backline
Use an anchor point that will not take a shock load of 1.000 kgs (2.200
tbs)
Anchor to a structure that can fall it self (i Freestanding ladder or
other loose structure
Anchor to appoint that is below the point of attachment to the belt of
harness
Connect ropes/ back line on a structure that is it self being supported
by lifting equipment
Loop lanyard or ropes around sharp edges
Tie knots in ropes or lanyards; this reduces their strength by at least
50%
Anchor as high up as possible keeping ropes / back lines as taut as
practicable remember every foot of loose lifeline is an extra foot you
may fall
Use approved permanent anchorages which have eithers been built
onto structure or subsequently installed by professional

Work Safely
‘Wear PPE provided by and supplied by the company at all times
Ensure that all your PPE is in good condition and of a good fit, that overals have
1no loose flaps or attachment that my hinder, restrict or impair your movements
Check your equipment prior to and on completion of each allotted task
If you consider that your or other personnel safety is beikng compromised
suspend work activities and report to your Supervisor/ Manager.
