KF Plc uses a job order cost system. The following data summarize the operationsrelated to production for
March, the first month of operations:

4. Prepare a schedule of completed jobs on hand to support the balance in the finished goodsaccount.

Part II: Process Costing System – Cost of Production Report
Ariba Coffee Company roasts and packs coffee beans. The process begins by placingcoffee beans into the
Roasting Department. From the Roasting Department, coffee beansare thentransferred to the Packing
Department. The following is a partial work inprocess account of the Roasting Department at March 31, 2020:

1. Prepare a cost of production report, and identify the missing amounts for Work in Process -Roasting
Department.
2. Assuming that the March 1 work in process inventory includes $54,600 of direct materials,determine the
increase or decrease in the cost per equivalent unit for direct materials andconversion between February
and March.

Part III: Process Costing System – Cost of Production Report


White Diamond Flour Company manufactures flour by a series of three processes, beginning with wheat grain
being introduced in the Milling Department. From the Milling Department, thematerials pass through the
Sifting and Packaging departments, emerging as packaged refined flour.
The balance in the account Work in Process—Sifting Department was as follows on July 1:

to Packaging.
3. Determine the increase or decrease in the cost per equivalent unit from June to July for direct materials
and conversion costs.
