Brothers, friends, acquaintances; Let me ask these questions:

Who am I?
And who are you?
What are our roles at present?
Our obligations to the future?
Our aims; purposes and goals?
We are the youth! The remains of the past. Responsible for the present and
considered initiator of a bright and brilliant future are the greatest burden loaded on our
shoulders.
The future, security, success and progress off our country depends
on how we impose our duties, responsibilities and obligations as a citizen.
But can we be considered as a citizen? Do you exercise our rights and enjoy our freedom?
Rizal once said: “The youth are the builders of the country”. had he not
mistaken when he quoted this? How one can build his country if he himself does not
know who he is? And what kind of country are we going to build?
A country that is governed by communism? Are we headed by a communist
and are we communistic? Are we free?
What for are the blood wasted at the battle. The blood of patriots, heroes
And heroines who died just to defend our country and because they’re crying for
democracy. Democracy? That is what we’re craving for. Democracy, for the
people, of the people, by the people. But if we ponder on the environment,
democracy of today means fool the people, off the people and buy the people. The leaders are
enjoying over freedom, victimizing the common people. We
shouted change but we do not know how to exercise it.
The government is trying to reform but is there really change? Is this a
reformed society? Why are these failures happening? Is it because we Filipinos are
deaf, blind and dumb? Can’t we not move to correct this?
What are the deaths of heroes, both sung and unsung for? The deaths of
suspected pushers, drug lords, the innocents jailed; the rape cases everywhere;
killings anywhere, and many countless crimes for?
Those are for us; to recover, to move, to unite and to stand for the rights of
Yesterday, millions of Filipinos who are tied to the bondage of poverty.
Let us show to the world that we Filipinos are not like yesterday, frivolous,
inconstant, parasitic, instead we are strong; firm, resilient and can stand behind
failures and success.
We the youth of today, must be vigilant and observant. Evade crimes that
will lead us to a mess. A mess which we are now suffering and enduring.
Consider the economic crises of today; can we merely blame the
government?
There are many programs launched by the government, only we lack
knowledge, initiative and enough courage to face and exercise it.
Laziness is one of the factors to the consistent failures in our society.
Where are the young of yesterday? Together, let us join hands and build a
better Philippines.
A country built by our forefathers and a home for us
Let us make Philippines great again!
Do your share! Fellow students
Change for the better is real.
Come and help me build a better country! Our dear Philippines.
