Short story made by Dan Heo: 3 rd prompt

The factory
It’s a normal day at school. Botacius is a student at this school and planned to work on homework
with friends today. He meets up with his friends in one of the study rooms and starts working. After
a while, the lights turn off. Weird. So, they all start searching for someone who can fix it, the
principle. They walk through the hallway as they notice a room, completely dark, hidden behind a
door which they’ve never seen before. It’s not far away from the principle, so they figured it was a
new-build room, but then, weird noises were coming from the room. It was as if people were
screaming and crying because of pain! Botacius and the others walked up to the door, shaking, and
nodded to each other.

Botacius opened the door, and they were dragged into the room by someone or something! They all
stood up after the fall and observed the room. It was weird. It was silent in the room, even though
they just heard people screaming. There were no windows anymore and the most important thing:
the door disappeared!! Botacius looked around and saw a path leading deeper into the room. They
all agreed to look further and so they did. They walked and walked and after a while, they saw light.
They were all happy as they thought it was their school, but then, they heard the screaming and
crying again, and BOOM, they heard an explosion and one of them disappeared. Chris, one of
Botacius’s closest friends disappeared, just like that! They were all frightened as they walked closer
to the light. They walk up to a door. They open it. It makes a horrible and frightening sound. BOOM!
Another explosion and someone disappears again. They open the door. Sounds begin to become
louder. What’s behind this door?? They open it.

They walk into the room, not just a room, a whole factory. It’s a factory burning…. people!! They
walk through the factory as they see their old principle hanging above the fire. One of the kids
screams. BOOM! They all look around to see who disappeared, but oh no, nobody disappeared. They
all turn around and see the screaming kid sliced in the throat, dead. They all start to scream. BOOM!
BOOM! BOOM! One after another. They all fall to the ground, dead. Some got sliced in the throat,
others got stabbed. Botacius, being a smart kid, did not scream. He ran as fast as he could back out
of the factory. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! He hears his friends screaming from pain. Maybe not
only his friends, but also other people stuck in this factory. He doesn’t know what to do. He couldn’t
think straight. He runs and sees someone he knows. BOOM! He feels someone touching him. He
turns around and sees his father, with a knife, trying to kill him. Botacius grabs the knife and kills
him. He then runs to the door, closes it, and runs back to the room. Magically, the door to the school
appears again. He hears the screaming and crying sounds following him. He opens the door and re-
enters the school and everything is normal again. Except, his friends were nowhere to be seen.

He laughs, as he walks out of the school.
