Startup Procedure
The following procedure illustrates the functional steps required to prepare the aircraft for flight -
many of the tests and checks required in the real-world procedures have been purposely

Prepare for Takeoff

Left Overhead Panel
● GROUND POWER to ON

Cockpit Right Side

● COWL FLAPS rotate both cylinders clockwise to OPEN

Left Overhead Panel

● LIGHTS as required
○ POSITION to ON

Center Pedestal
● LEFT FUEL SELECTOR to LEFT MAIN (click on sector of dial)
● RIGHT FUEL SELECTOR to RIGHT MAIN (click on sector of dial)
● PROPELLER LEVERS to FULL FORWARD (P on stalks)
● THROTTLE LEVERS cracked open (T on stalks)

Push Back (if required)

● PARKING BRAKE OFF
● SHIFT+P toggles pushback

● PARKING BRAKE ON

Start Engines
Overhead Panel
● MASTER IGNITION pushed IN
● ENERGISE to CENTER (it’s a bug)
● BOOSTER PUMPS to ON - optional, although directed in the manual

● ENERGISE to RIGHT - then wait a few seconds

● MESH to ON
● RIGHT MAGNETOS to BOTH - engine should fire
● RIGHT PRIMER to ON - mixture will move to auto-rich

● ENERGISE to LEFT - then wait a few seconds

● MESH to ON
● LEFT MAGENTOS to BOTH - engine should fire
● LEFT PRIMER to ON - mixture will move to auto-rich

● BOOSTER PUMPS to OFF - if on

Taxi
Underneath Console (CTRL+4)
● Ensure TW lever is pulled out (so tail wheel can turn)

Overhead
● BATTERY to ON
● RADIOS to ON (click VOL/ID on top left COM radio)

Takeoff
Underneath Console (CTRL+4)
● TW lever pushed to bulkhead (locked)

Overhead Right
● BOOSTER PUMPS to ON

Set Flaps

Perform Take-off

Cruise
Cockpit Right Side
● COWL FLAPS set to TRAIL

Overhead Right
● BOOSTER PUMPS to OFF

Center Pedestal
● MIXTURE levers to AUTO-LEAN

Approach
Cockpit Right Side
● COWL FLAPS set to OPEN

Center Pedestal
● MIXTURE levers to AUTO-RICH

Underneath Console (CTRL+4)

● TW lever pulled from bulkhead (unlocked)
