Beginner’s guide for Agents : Monsters of Solomon Island

Part I

Humanoids
1 Zombies

You will encounter various forms of zombies, especially on Solomon Island. They are
your typical Hollywoodian zombies. They feed on meat, are rotting, and fear nothing.
Their bite won’t turn you into one of them, but is heavily infectious. Don’t think they are
slow, they can run. Some of them even use basic weapons (example : Fire-fighter zombies
use their axes) but not firearms. If they don’t have a weapon, they will scratch you and
bite you.
It seems the Draugs have some kind of power on them, as there are reports of Draugs
overseeing zombies digging up corpses to create new zombies.

1.1 Regular zombie

They are not much of a threat if they aren’t too numerous. Sometimes, they lay on
the ground, waiting for someone to pass by to raise and attack, so keep in mind that even
if it looks dead, you have to be careful.
Useful recipe : If you mix dry sand, potting mix and pumpkin seed together, then crush

5
Beginner’s guide for Agents : Monsters of Solomon Island

it into an homogeneous powder, it can be used to temporarily disorient zombies.

Warning : You will find some really strong specimen around Kingsmouth’s airport
and the Golden Wigman construction site around Blue Mountain. Do not engage them
unless you have a lot of experience on the field.

1.2 Wet zombies

Those zombies are full of water. Most of the time, they come from drowned people.
They are similar to the regular ones, but they will also split an important amount of toxic
liquid on the ground when fighting. Keep moving and don’t stand in it.

6
Beginner’s guide for Agents : Monsters of Solomon Island

1.3 Fire zombies

You will sometimes encounter those. They are charred corpses brought back to life. Even if
they look damaged by the time and fire, you must be careful : Most of them can manipulate
fire in a powerful way and use it to attack.

7
Beginner’s guide for Agents : Monsters of Solomon Island

1.4 Hulk zombies

When a zombie is exposed to the filth, it increases it’s strength and size drastically, but
this is probably not the only way a Hulk Zombie is created. They are a bit slower but very
powerful. They can throw you off-balance by jumping and hitting the ground. A Hulk
won’t try to bite anymore but to punch and kick instead. A punch in the ground from
them is enough to create huge cracks in concrete

8
Beginner’s guide for Agents : Monsters of Solomon Island

1.5 Cultists zombies

Zombie cultists were once witches, dark sorcerers, members of some evil cult, etc. They
were tied to magic in a way or an other, and due to the recent events, their powers are
now stronger.
They seem to use some kind of magic related to chaos magic. They have a short range
(about 2 or 3 meters) but they can prevent you from moving and running away.

9
Beginner’s guide for Agents : Monsters of Solomon Island

2 Draug

They are also called Feigr, Folr, Vidir, ... The difference seems to be based on their
skin’s color. They are a big family of subspecies and follow a complicated hierarchy.
They are said to be sailors who came back after getting lost at see, also named Draugen
in the Norse Legends they come from.
According to the tragedy of the Lady Margaret, the Draugs found on Solomon Island
came back with the ship, maybe brought by the sword, maybe by the fog, maybe just
following one of them. They seem to have some control over the zombies.
They’ve covered the seashores in brood pods, growing more numerous everyday.
The Draugs we see in Kingsmouth are not the draugs of the legend. A long time ago,
Vikings went through the Sargasso sea, full of alien weed, covered in a thick and filthy fog.
Filth got into them, and the dreamers learned about their legends, and made it a reality.
They are humans mutated by the Filth into Draugs.

2.1 Mauler

10
Beginner’s guide for Agents : Monsters of Solomon Island

The maulers are still looking a lot like human, with a green or grey skin. Their skin is
covered in barnacles and one of their arms forms a large club, that they use to fight. Be
careful, if you take a hit in the head, you could be temporarily knocked out.

2.2 Impaler

The impalers look a lot like the mauler, except their arm is a big spike. They will try to
use it to throw you off-balance by hitting the ground with their spear, making points burst
out of the ground.

11
Beginner’s guide for Agents : Monsters of Solomon Island

2.3 Seacaller

They are the Draug spell-casters. They look like female humans with a green or grey
skin, covered in seaweed. They attack from a long range and tend to run away from
close-combat, be careful that they don’t run into others of their species and get some help.

12
Beginner’s guide for Agents : Monsters of Solomon Island

2.4 Broodwitch

They look like the Seacallers, with tentacles coming out of their belly. They can use magic
too but more importantly, they implant what turns zombies into Incubator.

13
Beginner’s guide for Agents : Monsters of Solomon Island

2.5 Incubator

When a Broodwitch impregnates a zombie with their "seeds", it turns into an incubator
in no time. After a while, it will reach the beach and turn into a pod, which gives "birth"
to new draugs. It’s advised to not let them hatch.

14
Beginner’s guide for Agents : Monsters of Solomon Island

2.6 Broodmother

The Broodmothers are probably very old Seacallers or Broodwitches. They look very old,
disgusting and fat. A big part of their body is covered in seaweed. They usually command
big groups of draugs and it’s known that some upper-rank may try to protect or avenge
them.
Some of them may suicide themselves by exploding when they feel they are about to
be killed. We would suggest to try to back away if they suddenly freeze, as they’re likely
about to blow up.

15
Beginner’s guide for Agents : Monsters of Solomon Island

2.7 Warmonger

The warmongers are probably to the maulers and impalers what the brood mothers are
to the broodwitches and seacallers. Their new body is built on the remains of the former
humanoid body. The arms are barely functional and two gigantic lobster claw are used
instead. The skull almost disappeared, and the legs are now part of bigger ones, covered
in an shell, apparently made of coral and chitin.

16
Beginner’s guide for Agents : Monsters of Solomon Island

2.8 Lord

The Draug Lords are not an evolution of the previously mentioned draugs, but a totally
different species. They have telepathic powers used to control other draugs and the zombies.
Lords are avatars of the dreamers.
They vary in size, observed specimens went from a bit taller than 2 meters to more
than 6 meters.

17
Beginner’s guide for Agents : Monsters of Solomon Island

2.9 Ur

The Ur’s are a rare sight, they are said to be almost at the top of the Draugs’ hierarchy.
What is above them is still unknown. Unlike the Draug Lord, the Ur’s have arms and legs
like humans, and but like the Lords, they were never humans.
They seem to have powerful telepathic abilities as well as an impressive strength. We
suspect they have abilities related to dimension travelling or at least space-time manipula-
tion. They are rumoured to be the manifestation of a Dreamer. Some sort of 3 dimensional
avatar, with of course very little power compared to the original.

18
Beginner’s guide for Agents : Monsters of Solomon Island

2.10 Misc: Deep Ones

They’re fishmen. Not like draugs, the deep ones actually have a fish-head and a tail. They
fight with claws and their strong bites.
They usually live very deep in the sea, where the pressure is so high it would turn any
human into a bloody much. They worship the dreamers and see the draugs as their priests.

19
Beginner’s guide for Agents : Monsters of Solomon Island

3 Golems

Mud, sand, rock, water, ice, etc, you’ll find golem everywhere. Even flesh golems (Ew).
They’re pretty strong but slow. Keep moving when you fight them. They are supposed
to be controlled by a master, someone pulling the strings, but since Kaidan’s bomb, a lot
of them appear to have spontaneously animated. But you will meet some that have been
placed there as guardians.

20
Beginner’s guide for Agents : Monsters of Solomon Island

4 Cursed Cultists

In Egypt. People who’ve been fed with filthy food and water, they’re now mindless
slave of Aten, the black sun god, manifestation of a dreamer. They’re using sledgehammers
and firearms, mostly. Similar like zombie but more intelligent, they can even talk, act as
team, follow hierarchy, ...

5 Filthy Humans

Human infected with filth. Sometimes, they try to act like they’re afraid of you, ask for
forgiveness when you hit them : Don’t stop, kill them, it’s a trick to kill you if you lower
your guard. They use every kind of weapons, firearms or sledgehammers or even claws.
You find them everywhere. Be wary, some of them still know how to fight properly, are
well geared, use grenades or even snipers.

6 Evolved Filth

The human you’ll meet in Kaidan if you go there. Be sure to wear proper protections
against filth, they’re basically some sort of draugs but it’s filth instead instead of scales.

7 Vampires

Those fuckers are though. They wear a lot of clothes so they can go out during the
day. They’ll try to paralyse you and suck your blood during fight. Sometimes they even
have some human strapped that they use as blood supply. Be sure to kill them during the
fight or they’ll heal by using them. You can also poison the blood. Some of them fight
with DEMOLITION BOULDERS. Keep moving if you face one, they are slow.

8 Familiars

Sometimes people create artificial lifeforms to experiment on, for example. They’re
called familiar. You’ll meet a bunch of them in Innsmouth academy, they evaded. They’re
kinda easy to deal with but pretty fast-runner

9 Ghouls

Bald monkeys? The "basic" ones just fight like a gorilla would. Biting and punching
and clawing. Mind the sorcerers (they wear clothes), they can use magic, sometimes quite
powerful.

21
Beginner’s guide for Agents : Monsters of Solomon Island

10 Scarecrows

Yeah, actual scarecrows. They use shotguns, chainsaw or chaos magic. If they don’t
have a weapon, then it’s magic. You find them on Solomon Island and in Transylvania

11 Mummies

Zombies, but older. Can’t tell a lot, I don’t remember anything special about them.

12 Wendigo

People who ate other humans and got cursed. You find them in Solomon. They use
some sort of magic, I think, and claws/bites. Some of them are pretty old and strong.
They are hungry forever. They devour all.

13 Werewolves

Werewolves. Two kinds : 4 legged, they’re kinda stupid and bites/claws you. They
have a strong regenerating factor, kill them faster. Sometimes they have wolves around
helping them. The old ones walk on two legs. They’re smarter and often command to the
other. But they fight the same way.

Part II

Demons
14 Jinn

They are a race of demons, I’ve only met Fire Jinns but I think there are sand jinns,
earth jinns, etc. Their magic is pretty powerful, be careful when they gather their power
in a big incantation, they’re gonna blow you away.

15 Oni

Demons in Kaidan. There are various type, be careful when they disappear during a
fight : Back up. Or they’ll blow you away.

16 Rakshasa

Low-class demons. You’ll find them mostly in savage coast, at the overlook motel.
They hit you and bite you. You may’ve met them in the Crucible at Temple Hall

22
Beginner’s guide for Agents : Monsters of Solomon Island

Part III

Insectoids
17 Scorpions

Giant ones. Mind the claws, mind the dart. They can throw a constant stream of
poison, just dodge it/keep moving. Be careful, they hide in the sand, you can see it move
where they breathe/dug if you’re careful. You find them in Egypt

18 Ak’ab

In Solomon, around blue mountain and the savage coast. Big ugly insects looking like
moths. Can’t fly. Very fast when they charge, be sure to dodge. They have an ant-like
society (queen, worker, soldiers, etc). You find them in the forests

19 Locusts

Big big ones. You find them in Egypt. they put venom on the ground, don’t step in it
or they’ll use it to make you loose your balance. Keep moving. They hit with their front
legs.

Part IV

Ghosts
20 Spectre

Some kind of grim reaper looking spirit. They have a scythe and fight with it. Step
baaaaack (like, really fare away) when they gather their powers. You find them were people
died. Kinda everywhere.

21 Spirits

They fight with magic, they’re more receptive to magic than melee/firearms. Some of
them can scream in your face to paralyse you. I hate that. You meet there anywhere. Most
of the times where something pretty bad happened like a massive murder or something
like that.

23
Beginner’s guide for Agents : Monsters of Solomon Island

22 Deathless

I have no clue about them, some kind of monk specters? Meet them in Transylvania,
in an old cemetery

23 Kyonshi

They’re a japanese sort of specters. Be careful, some of them can’t be killed, only
stunned for a while. You can find ofudas (magic scroll) to bind them once their shield is
down.

24 Revenants

When you see crows, they’re not far away. Be on your guard when they disappear, they’ll
reappear with their swords crossed, throwing a big row of feathers at you for a few seconds,
straight in front of them. Just step to the right/left, they can’t move to aim anyway.

24
Beginner’s guide for Agents : Monsters of Solomon Island

Part V

Vegetal life-form
25 Fata Padurii

Four legged trees, find them in Transylvania. They try to lure people and kill them by
taking the shape of a beautiful woman or something like that. They’re pretty though and
usually have spirits around them granting them a fucking powerful shield. Try to avoid
fight or to separate them from the spirits.

26 Fungal Filth

Mushroom turned into moving creatures by filth. There are a lot of variety, I can’t tell
the difference. Mind the spore, they poison you. Gasmask recommended. (well I actually
recommend one for everything but especially here). They’re in Transylvania.

Part VI

Robots

Part VII

Pure filth manifestations

27 Shades

Pure filth creatures. They use claws made of filth, and filth. They can grab you from
far away and bring you to their feet. Sometimes, in a big pond of filth. You find them
everywhere where there is a lot of filth.

Part VIII

Others
28 Trolls

They’re like biiiig gorillas. Fucking big. Keep moving, they’re kinda slow. I think
they’re blind too, didn’t ask them. You meet them in Transylvania, in rocky areas/moun-
tains. Pretty strong.
