Assami Muzakki, a graduate of Bangkit 2022 from Universitas Indraprasta PGRI,

hosted the opening ceremony of the Kampus Merdeka program (Bangkit 2023) from
Google's office in Jakarta.
Welcome to Bangkit 2023 Speeches 1

Google Indonesia's Managing Director, Rendy Jusuf, officially opened Bangkit 2023, a
program close to his heart that has trained over 6,000 people and created over 2,300
job opportunities. He hopes the 900-hour program will help produce highly skilled
professionals in the tech industry, with a focus on attracting more women, non-IT
students, and individuals from small and medium-sized cities. Jusuf expressed
gratitude to the over 300 contributors and 100 mentors who will support the program
and hopes that Google can continue collaborating with partners to improve higher
education in Indonesia.
Welcome to Bangkit 2023 Speeches 2

The Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia, represented by Prof. Ir. Nizam,
M.Sc., DIC, Ph.D., expressed happiness for the success of Kampus Merdeka's
innovative programs, which have attracted hundreds of thousands of students from all
over the country. The Magang and Studi Independen Bersertifikat (MSIB) program has
become a new spirit for students to develop their interests and competencies in various
career fields. Bangkit is one of the programs that is proud to have been consistently
designed based on industry-led principles, with a solid curriculum and three main
learning paths: Machine Learning, Mobile Development, and Cloud Computing. In
addition, the program emphasizes independent learning, English proficiency, and soft
skills training, including problem-solving through Capstone Design Projects. With
Google and Dikti's support, Bangkit has incubated 30 startup candidates who use the
knowledge gained from the program to solve real problems in the community. The
Ministry and Google aim to train 9,000 selected students in two semesters, three times
larger than the previous years, to accelerate digital transformation and create new
talents for Indonesia's future. Prof. Nizam congratulated the selected students and
encouraged them to seize this golden opportunity to become high-caliber professionals
and future leaders in Indonesia's digital era.
Bincang Bangkit bersama Industri

The "Bincang Bangkit bersama Industri" session featured Ringkilia Vinatia Husin, a
Bangkit 2021 alumnus, discussing the performance of Bangkit graduates with two
industry leaders. Head of Traveloka Academy, Mas Iben Yuzenho, and BCA Human
Capital representative, Atika Cornelia, shared their insights and hopes for the future of
Bangkit participants. The conversation aimed to motivate and inspire the attendees to
persevere and succeed in their studies. The session ended with encouraging words
from the speakers, who expressed their excitement to see the progress of Bangkit
2023 graduates.
Stories from previous Bangkit Graduates

The alumni of the Bangkit program shared their experiences in achieving their dreams
in a video segment. Despite the challenges of studying programming, including difficult
math and coming from non-IT backgrounds, they were encouraged to pursue their
passion. They learned Java and Android development, inspired by Korean dramas and
the desire to make a positive impact with technology. They chose Bangkit for its
inclusivity of non-IT individuals, industry partnerships, and job placement programs.
After completing the program, they gained comprehensive Android knowledge, soft
skills, and new connections, leading to the creation of a successful startup and job
opportunities. One of the alumni's DressOnMe app received funding from Google and
Dikti incubation. They are now Android developers and building their startup, KerjaGo.
Overview of Bangkit 2023 Contributors

participating in the program. They also advise participants to learn from experts,
network with peers, and never give up on pursuing their dreams. Contributors believe
