Admission Notice for Undergraduate Courses

Prafulla Chandra College invites applications from eligible candidates for B.A./
B.Sc. Honours in Bengali, English and Geography and B.A General and B.Com
(Honours/General) courses for the academic session 2022-2023 from 18/07/2022
(Monday) till 05/08/2022 (Friday) (as per W.B Govt. Order).
Candidates are hereby instructed to go through the ‘Eligibility Criteria’ and ‘How
to Apply’ before applying for a particular course at online admission portal
https://admissionug.in/PCC-Admission/

The entire admission process is online, and no physical presence of either the
candidates or their guardian is required or will be entertained for any purpose in view
of the Covid-19 pandemic. The students will appear in college for verification as per
notification.
➢ The First (combined) Provisional Merit List will be published by 16.08.2022.

Eligibility Criteria:

Passed Higher Secondary (+2) Examination from recognised Secondary/Higher


Secondary board is compulsory.

B. A in Bengali Honours

A minimum of 45% marks in subject and 50% marks in aggregate for Unreserved
category candidates, and 40% in subject and 40% in aggregate for Reserved
category in HS or equivalent examination.
B.A in English Honours

A minimum of 60% marks in subject and 50% marks in aggregate for Unreserved
category candidates, and 50% in subject and 40% in aggregate for Reserved
category in HS or equivalent examination.
B.A/ B.Sc in Geography Honours

A minimum of 45% marks in subject and 50% marks in aggregate for Unreserved
category candidates, and 40% in subject and 40% in aggregate for Reserved
category in HS or equivalent examination.

B.Com Honours

A minimum of 45% marks in subject and 50% marks in aggregate for Unreserved
category candidates, and 40% in subject and 40% in aggregate for Reserved
category in HS or equivalent examination.

B.Com (General) & B.A (General)

Candidates who have passed in H.S (10+2) or equivalent examination.


Fees Structure:

B.Com/ B.A General Rs. 5050/-

*N.B Additional laboratory/ practical examination based fees are applicable for Geography Students (B.Sc.
Honours).

Admision Procedure:

1. Open the Online Admission Site at https://admissionug.in/PCC-Admission/


2. Read the instructions, and terms and conditions carefully
3. Agree to the terms and conditions of admission
4. Fill the Admission Form online with necessary information
5. Check the complete form and finally submit online
6. No Application Fee is required
7. Wait for the Merit List
8. If you are in the merit list, pay the stipulated Admission Fees
9. Print your Application Form on bond paper and in coloured ink
10.Visit the college with necessary documents for verification and enrolment at
given date, as and when the college reopens.

Note: Admission is strictly made on the basis of merit and through the process of
online system. There is no alternative way of admission. No physical presence of
either candidates or their guardians is required or will be entertained for any
purpose in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.
At any point of time, any candidate found using any unfair means including an
attempt to get admission through nepotism or favoritism or any agency will be
treated as disqualified and any amount paid will be confiscated even if he/she is
otherwise eligible and admitted by mistake.
