1. An artificial satellite is orbiting around the earth. The major axis of its orbit
is 40,000 km and minor axis is 30,000 km. Draw the orbit of the satellite
and show the position of earth centre. Draw ellipse.

2. Two straight lines OA and OB making an angle of 70 between them. P is a
point 35 mm from OA and 45 mm from OB. Draw a hyperbola through P,
with OA and OB as asymptotes.

3. A ball thrown up in the air reaches a maximum height of 45 metres and

travels a horizontal distance of 75 metres. Trace the path of the ball,
assuming it to be parabolic.

4. A wheel of cart 1 m in diameter rolls on a plane road in a straight line. Draw

the path of a point on the rim for one complete revolution.
