PREFACE
Training is the essence for practical orientation of the professional studies undertaken and
without practical training one cannot understand the real basic and theoretical in practice and
everything just goes in vain. Project training forms an integral component of any professional
courses like management courses viz. PGDM. A trainee faces live problem in the industries
and in the. In the institution where one person pursues his studies cannot provide him
practical knowledge on all aspects of learning often the studies is said to be incomplete until
the student has been exposed to this practice. The theoretical studies build manager in
him/her by providing pools of knowledge whereas the practical applications make him agile
and component. If theoretical knowledge teaches him/her the principal and policies the
practical exposes tell him how to apply these principles.

Chapter-1 Introduction

Business analytics is the practice of using data, statistical and quantitative analysis, and

predictive modelling to make informed business decisions. It involves gathering data from

various sources, cleaning and organizing it, analysing it, and using the insights gained to

make better decisions about business strategy, operations, and marketing.

The awareness and perception of business analytics have been increasing in recent years, as

businesses of all sizes are recognizing the importance of using data to drive decision-making.

With the increasing availability of big data and advanced analytics tools, companies can now

analyse large amounts of data to gain insights into customer behaviour, market trends, and

operational efficiency.

Moreover, as competition in various industries becomes more intense, companies are turning

to business analytics to gain a competitive edge. Business analytics allows companies to

identify opportunities for growth and innovation, optimize their processes, and improve their

overall performance.

Overall, the awareness and perception of business analytics are becoming increasingly

positive as more and more companies recognize its importance in today's data-driven

business environment.

5
Chapter-2 Research Design

(A) Research Objectives

 To assess the level of awareness among students regarding business

analytics and its importance in today's business world.

 To identify the sources of information that students use to learn about

business analytics and their perceptions of the credibility and usefulness of

these sources.

 To examine students' attitudes towards learning business analytics and

their perceived relevance of business analytics to their future careers.

 To investigate the extent to which students have had exposure to business

analytics in their academic coursework and how this exposure has

influenced their awareness and perceptions.

 To explore the challenges that students face in learning business analytics

and their suggestions for how these challenges can be overcome.

 To examine the relationship between students' demographic characteristics

(such as gender, age, and academic major) and their awareness and

perceptions of business analytics.

 To provide recommendations for how educators and businesses can

improve the awareness and perception of business analytics among

students and promote its adoption in the workforce.

6
(B) Research Methodology

Research can be defined as “a scientific and systematic search for pertinent information in
any branch of knowledge’. It is the pursuit of truth with the help of study, observation,
comparison and experiment. Research is, thus, an original contribution to the existing stock
of knowledge making for its advancement.

Research methodology is way to systematically solve the research problem. It may be

understood as a science of studying how research is done scientific.

The main of the project was to find out the student awareness & perception toward business
analytical and research with respect to JAIPUR(Rajasthan). The opinions of the students were
taken through online platform and information was collected from the students.

RESEARCH DESIGN

A research design is a logical and systematic plan prepared for directing a research study. It
specifies the methodology and technique to be adopted for achieving the objectives. It
constitutes the blueprint for the collection, measurement and analysis of data.

All research approaches can be classified into three general categories:

Exploratory Research

Descriptive Research

Casual Research

Since data collection method is from surveys, hence Descriptive type of research is used for
analysis of the data. The study was descriptive in nature because it depicts characteristics or
functions of the population. It describes the number, distribution and socio-economic
characteristics of potential students towards Business analytics

SAMPLING TECHNIQUES

Simple Random Sampling- In a simple random sample of a given size, all such subsets of the
frame are given an equal probability. Each element of the frame thus an equal probability of
selection: the frame is not subdivided or partitioned. Furthermore, any given pair of elements
has the same chance of selection as any other such pair (and similarity for triples and so on).

7
The minimizes bias and simplifies analysis of results. In particular, the variance between
individual results within the sample is a good indicator of variance in the overall population,
which makes it relatively easy the accuracy of results.

SAMPLE SIZE

For further research questionnaire was filled by the 100 random people who were little
familiar about business analytical.

DATA COLLECTION TECHNIQUES

In dealing with any research problem, it is often found the data at are inadequate, and hence it
becomes necessary to collect the data that are appropriate. The task for data collection begins
after a research problem has been defined and research design chalked out.

Primary Data

The primary data are those which are collected afresh and for the first time and thus happen
to be original in character collection of primary data. There are several methods of collecting
primary data, particularly in surveys and descriptive research.

Observation Method

Interview Method

Through Questionnaire

QUESTIONNAIRE

The method of data collection is quite popular, particular in case of big enquires. In this
method, questionnaire is sent or given to the persons concerned with a request to answer the
questions and return the questionnaire.

Data collection has been done through giving structured questionnaire and close-ended
questionnaire. This study will be based on Sampling.

8
The study was aimed at measuring the students awareness & perception toward business
analytical and research.

TOOLS AND TECNIQUES

•Descriptive Analysis - with using Ms Excel. Mean, Median frequency of responses and
contingency tables with bar charts and pie charts will be compiled Excel.

Chapter- 3 Data Analysis and Interpretation

The result of the collected data analysed by method of Microsoft excel 2013. Data will be
presented in research with the use of the bar chart and table so that the data analysed can be
clear and understandable to the reader
There was total 23 questions including both closed and open questions.
Reliability and validity are crucial aspects of research practice and the importance of these
criteria should be fully recognized by all who are engaged in survey work of any kind.
