2 Area of research & Domain of research

material science, energy generation and energy storage

3 Objective of the proposal

I want to synthesize Mn doped NiO and want to take its one of the most important application that is
photicatalytic activity . These materials are synthesized by simple precipitation method. Photicatalytic activity is
used to reduce impurities and to reduce water pollution contains material . For the photicatalytic activities we use
TiO.and then I want to take its characterisation like XRD, FTIR, RAMAN, SEM, UV . And we will note further results

4 Background/short description
Pure and Mn-doped NiO nanoparticles were synthesized using a co- precipitation process. P-type
semiconductor properties were found in rock salt nanocrystalline nickel oxide. Nanostructured NiO is chemically
stable and has good electrical conductivity, magnetic characteristics, and optical properties, making it a desirable
material for photocatalytic applications

5 Expected results
The photocatalyst is having a large surface area and excellent carrier mobility to generate visible-light responsive
photocatalytic materials. X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), ultraviolet-visible
spectroscopy (UV–Vis), and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) analysis were used to evaluate the various parameters
of as synthesised generated samples. In FT-IR the Ni-O peak is expected at 655cm-1 which confirms the
formation of NiO lattice.
