Introduction
The Company SpaceX designs, manufactures and launches advanced rockets and spacecraft. It is the world’s
fastest growing provider of launch service. The company was founded in 2002. it is a US based company
established by CEO and CTO, Elon Musk. SpaceX revolutionized space technology. It is the only private
company ever to return a spacecraft from low-Earth orbit.

Mission statement and goals

MAKING LIFE MULTIPLANETARY is the mission statement

The Company was founded in 2002 to revolutionize space technology, with the ultimate goal of
enabling people to live on other planets.
Progress
31 launches in just 2021
Very high reliability demonstrated with single engine landings

Strategies
SpaceX has significant price advantages.
While its Eurasian competitors charge between $100-200 million per launch,
SpaceX’s average rate will be around $60 million.
STARLINK mission
2024 Man missions
Products
• Falcon 9
Two-stage rocket
Reliable & safe transport of satellites
Carried Dragon spacecraft

• Falcon Heavy
Ability to lift into orbit over 53 metric tons
Carry humans into space and restores flying missions with crew
Carry the Dragon spacecraft

• Dragon
Free-flying spacecraft
Deliver both cargo and people to orbit
• Starship
Powered through ascent by three raptor engines
It is designed to deliver satellites further and at a lower marginal cost per launch than falcon vehicles
Manufacturing
• SpaceX is mass producing spacecraft company
• It designs, manufactures & deliveries spacecraft
• 70% Falcon launch vehicle is manufactured or assembled at the SpaceX Hawthorne factory to avoid cost and time wastages
• Every major part of the entire launch and orbital system is built in this one massive room
• Each Falcon is identical & standardized (made of aluminium-lithium alloy)
• It builds several different rockets depending on the launch needs
