Activity 1: ‘FANTASY WORLD’

Create a ‘Fantasy’ social networking page for your class. Prepare a recipe of a magic spell
and post it on the social networking page. The recipe which receives the most ‘likes’ will be
published in the class/school magazine.

Evaluation of activity 1:

In creating a magic spell activity, students will come up with novel ideas, with a variety of spell f
ormations. It will help them engage with imaginative and creative ability to the fullest and find a
chance to chisel their creative writing skills. It is a fun activity which encourages them to do a go
od job, all the while maintaining a high interest level. Although the content and language is not i
mposed on learners, but as suggested by the instructor, the language will be English. Similarly, e
ven if the content is from fantasy genre, it will be an outcome of their imagination. It will be a sh
ared and an interactive exercise because after it is posted online, targeted audience will read it an
d share their opinions in the comments section. Due to the term "magic," it can be assumed that t
here will be a magical and imaginative side to it which will encourage the learners to work in a c
reative manner and help them hone their imaginative abilities. When they are provided with the s
pecifics of the magic spell, they are bound to describe objects or texts in their writing in an infor
mative and finer way. Each pupil will have a distinctive perspective on a particular issue. Aspirin
g creative writers will benefit from participating in this exercise, which will aid them in coming
up with original ideas as was the case with The Harry Potter writer J.K. Rowling. Their ability to
think critically will grow as a result of this exercise. By participating in this exercise, they will i
mprove their writing abilities and gain new vocabulary to use in future writing assignments. As it
is a manipulative, evocative and communicative activity, it can be said that this activity is compl
etely purposeful and that effective communication can be achieved through this type of activity.

Activity 2: ‘MY MEMORIES’

Write an essay of about 1000 words on “My Worst or Best Experience”.

Evaluation of activity 2

2
As a verbal communication exercise, it fulfills many aspects of a successful communication. As
previously mentioned, students are required to write about their own best and worst experiences
in a set word count. This assignment makes it obvious that each student write about their own
experiences rather than plagiarizing someone else’s thoughts or writing about a play or movie.
More importantly, it primarily focuses on the experiences of the learners, allowing them to write
freely express their feelings and ideas regarding specific situations they have encountered,
regardless of being positive or negative. It is a learner-centered activity that gives the students
the opportunity to make a difference and use strategic manipulation because they are requested to
write about their positive and negative experiences. The exercise includes a 1000-word essay,
allowing the students to fully describe their experience, go into depth, and state every detail in a
descriptive manner. In addition, this activity serves a purpose because it allows the student to
interact with the reader and share his personal experiences that are mentioned in the activity.
Furthermore, the students can engage with the viewers. Here, written language is the primary
form of communication, and students are able to express themselves in a variety of ways to
represent their actual experiences. The activity is clear and unambiguous because it specifies
exactly how the learner should approach the topic. The learners are also given the opportunity to
use their language skills to express their thoughts, ideas, beliefs, and feelings in order to
communicate effectively, adjust productivity, and use interpersonal skills to better explain their
experiences so that others can relate to it and understand them. Additionally, this exercise
teaches students to stick to the subject at hand and write only within the specified word count.
The learners' ability to express their writing style and emotional expression through this exercise
is another benefit. By providing unforeseen and original material, it might give them the
opportunity to be expressive and creative and express what made that particular memory special
or awful.

Activity 3: ‘LIVING DANGEROUSLY’

Add a post for your Facebook or a tweet for your Twitter page commenting on your
experience of coping with the corona virus pandemic. React to the comments of your
followers

Evaluation of activity 3:

3
Students are expected to write about their personal experiences with the corona virus pandemic
for this activity.

Students can clarify their thoughts through writing. Through the writing process, students

discover their areas of strength.. Students can complete this assignment alone because they will
be writing about their personal epidemic experiences. The learners will be able to express more
effectively as this activity requires the use of one's communicative language skills in a specific
domain to accomplish a specific objective. Through recreational activities that can boost
children's self-esteem and gradually expose them to writing, which is taught and practiced in
schools. Lower primary children need to be able to write in order to become proficient in all
academic subjects, communication, and self-expression. Students should keep their intended
audience and goal in mind while writing. The kids will benefit from this in terms of vocal
communication as well. Due to the fact that students will be writing about how they dealt with
the Corona virus, this exercise is setting the stage appropriately. In order for there to be some
sort of two-way communication, they had to share it on their Facebook or Twitter page. In order
to let people engage in their posts, they will have to make a draft of their posts before allowing
others to comment on them. Furthermore, when the learners will share their part of the
experience, it will provoke the readers to write about their stories as well. Moreover, the readers
will provide feedback on how the article has benefited them. Due to the fact that everyone was
confined to their homes at the time, students will need to write about their everyday experiences.
They will discuss the healthy habits they adopted to get through the particular situation. Through
the post, they will also spread knowledge about their experience of getting vaccinations and how
it made them feel safe. The article will have an emotional impact because readers will feel
connected and inspired to share their own stories. The majority of people worldwide experienced
corona, so this activity is utterly pertinent to readers. Similarly, it is focused on real text types as
students will write in proper sentences to convey their experiences to people and the
communicative purpose of this activity is creating an impact on the reader(s) because students
are sharing their real life experiences of how they coped with pandemic. It will have a subtle
effect on the viewers. People enjoy learning about other people's experiences because it gives
them the opportunity to learn new ideas. Therefore, this exercise could be valuable and
interesting. As a result, both the communicator and the listener will find it extremely fascinating.
When the students write about common place events during the pandemic, they will improve

4
their vocabulary. This will also represent the opinions of the students, who will express their own
views on the pandemic before the reactors defend their own opinions. Because the students will
be writing about their healthy habits, spending quality time with their families, and planning
leisure activities at home to pass the time, this exercise will provoke a lot of thought in both the
students and the readers. The learners' communication needs are being met by this activity
because they are making an impression on the audience and enabling others to respond to their
posts. This makes the activity manipulative because readers will read and then either share their
own experiences or find the post useful. This activity is interactive as it’s a two way
communication between the students and other people as the learners will write and share the
post and on the other hand the readers will react and share their personal experiences.
