Internet Good Morning Everyone, I am Neevan From class 9A Today I am going to speak about dependence on technology and internet.
As we live in the age of technology, it is undeniable that we have become increasingly
dependent on it. From smartphones to laptops, from social media to online shopping, we rely on technology and the internet for almost everything. About 23.5% of Indian teens are addicted to the Internet. While technology has made our lives easier and more convenient, it has also brought about several challenges. One of the most significant drawbacks of technology is the impact it has on our mental and physical health. The Mental Health Survey of India found that 1 in 20 people in India suffers from depression, and they considered technology to be the contributing factor. Our dependence on technology has affected our daily lives. 46% of Indians reported spending 6 or more hours a day online. Due to excessive use of the internet, they faced trouble sleeping; they felt anxious and isolated. Technology has also raised concerns about privacy and security. Cyberbullying is also a significant problem. 53% of Indians reported that they have encountered some form of online harassment. As we move forward, we must find a balance between technology and our daily lives. We must learn to use technology to our advantage, but not let it control our lives. Let us take responsibility for our technology use, and strive to connect with others on a personal level, without being dependent on screens.
