A solar farm is an area that holds a deal of solar panels that are regularly attached to the
ground instead of getting attached to a building.(1) And without a doubt solar farms have both
advantages and disadvantages that firmly relate to science . This essay will discuss some
advantage and disadvantage of solar farms that relate to science.

One advantage for solar farms According to ongoing researches is that living near solar
farms may actually reduce the risk of lung cancer (1) since they are offsetting other electricity
generating sources that can contribute to air pollution which in fact causes cancer so says Dr.
Kittner (2) and since lung cancer is a deadly disease so in fact solar farms may have been saving
people’s lives. Additionally, Another advantage for solar farms is that has an important role in
decreasing greenhouse gases release and mitigating climate change, which is essential to
protecting human’s lives , wildlife, and the ecosystems.(3) One disadvantage for solar farms is
the weather dependence because although solar energy can be collected in cloudy and rainy days
however, the efficiency drops. To have effective solar energy the sun mustn’t be covered or
down. (4) Another disadvantage for solar farms is that they expensive to build. In the United
States, the predicted installation cost for one megawatt of production from solar farm is 3
million. Which means large-scale project will often be unaffordable.(5)

Solar farms have both their advantages on people however if you have large budget solar
farms would be a great choice since you would be saving up money in the longer distance and
would be helping the environment and the community and you would have a lower risk of lung
cancer which has ended a lot of people’s life-line
