1. How can the Intellectual Property protect the rights of investors, scientists, and
artists?

- The intellectual Property can protect the rights of investors, scientists, and artists
through copyright, copyright can protect and secure their original works especially
their private works. If there is copyright, they can prevent people that didn’t receive
any permission from the original creators from stealing or republishing their work.
The Intellectual property allows every investor, scientists, and artists to go to the
court and mention about the infringement of his or her works, therefore, this will help
them sue the infringers for stealing, downloading, or reposting their works illegally.

2. What acts are considered as a violation of the Intellectual Property Code?

- The acts that are considered as a violation of the Intellectual Property Code is
Copyright Infringement wherein when you are using another people’s creations or
using another production’s creations such as plot or music into your own creation
without asking permission is considered as a violation in the Intellectual Property
Code. Also, downloading music, movies, etc. from illegal sites is a violation of the
Intellectual Property Code.

3. What agencies are in-charge of implementing the Intellectual Property Code?

- The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) is in-charge of


implementing the Intellectual Property Code and it was implemented by former
President Fidel V. Ramos. Through this agency, it was able to strengthen the
protection rights of IP in the Philippines; this agency also allows every actor of the
Philippines to be appreciated and credited from their works instead of other actors
who uses other works of people just to increase their fame.
