History and Evolution of Advertisement

How technology and cultural change the company?

We can say that the technology and cultural change made a great impact
towards a company, and it is very visible on the company’s campaign video.

Let’s talk for on the technology first, for example, in the video that we
edited, the campaign video for 80’s is way far from the 2022 campaign
video of San Miguel Corporation. The editing is way far better compared the
2022 and it is not a surprise. Also, the props and how people being showed
in the video. 2022 were more on pop art meanwhile on 80’s are traditional.
Moreover, in any company technology is helpful especially in their
marketing for both internal and external marketing. For external, there are
numbers of streamline or platform market a company.

Next, culture, culture is the most vital factor of a company should consider.
Culture can affect sales, profits efforts, morale and positivity of company
towards the people they are targeting. Moreover, in their campaign videos,
people during 1982 were just drinking to talk something, to gathered with
friends and they will drink San Miguel beer. However, people in 2022, in all
kinds of celebration San Miguel beer should be present always. As the
culture of people changes, the company also adopt.

2. Effectiveness of an Existing Advertising Campaign.

Evaluate the effectiveness of the campaign using metrics such as brand
awareness, sales, and customer loyalty.
It is implied that campaign works to increase customer awareness of a
product and foster preference for it over rivals. When making their next
purchase, consumers will pick the promoted goods if advertising is
successful in achieving those two goals. With this and the existing
advertising campaign of San Miguel Corporation, I can tell that they are
successful of giving it.
Moreover, the target of the existing advertisement is not only gaining new
consumer but also retaining the current consumers. Also, with customer
loyalty, it is overt that San Miguel Corporation’s campaign advertisement.
As they focus on the duration of the years “since then” of how Filipino been
purchasing their products. With that, is shows or profs that consumers had
been very loyal to them.
3. Analyze the Ethics of Advertising
Research the ethical considerations that companies must take into account
when developing advertising campaigns.
Just like in research, the ethical considerations cannot be undermined.
Specially in advertising campaigns. Ethical consideration is to protect the
dignity, rights, and welfare of the organization.
The ethical consideration that should be consider specially for companies in
developing their advertising campaigns are honesty, accuracy, and strives for
human dignity. Company needs to be honest in order to develop a
relationship of trust with a customer. Accuracy as to what they are telling
should be truthful so that customers will not expect something from their
advertisement. And should strive for human dignity, as advertisements
should be accepted in all cultures with their different norms.
With human dignity, I just remember that there is a famous alcohol company
or organization in the Philippines that adheres the slogan "Naka tikim kana
ba ng kinse-anyos?". That brandy company became the apple of the eye and
earn negative comments as the phrase question could mean something
inhumane.
4. Advertising on Society.
Ways in which advertising influences consumer behavior and shapes
societal values and beliefs and the pros and cons of this impact.
Customers have various purchasing patterns since different cultures hold
distinct values. Thus, advertising influences consumer behavior and shapes
societal values and beliefs. Moreover, there is a notion that says advertising
has an adverse effect on consumer values by encouraging materialism, a
preoccupation with material things rather than intellectual and spiritual
concerns. For the cons of materialism, this can stimulate consumer or
customers desire to some extent and stimulate achievement motivation. For
its cons, this can stimulate consumer or customers eagerness to have the
product that he or she can do anything to have the product. This, the traits of
materialism include debt, melancholy, and artificial happiness. Also, most
people believe they require other people's approval, and in order to gain that
acceptance, they may purchase costly items that will draw attention from
others.
