QUESTION: Man cannot exist without culture and culture cannot exist without man.
Discuss.
Culture is the lifeblood of a vibrant society, expressed in many ways in which people tells us
stories, celebrate, remember the past, entertain ourselves, and imagine the future. Our
creative expression helps define who we are, and helps us to see the world through the eyes
of others. Man and culture are interdependent to each other.

Culture is considered so importance in our lives as it is a reflection of a community or nation.

This means that culture is an extremely vital determining factor in how a particular
community responds, reacts, and grows, both individually and together and people live their
lives in society by determining cultural factor. However, culture creates a great sense of
belonging for so many people, especially when they speak the same language that unites
them.

One of the main reasons why culture is so important is due to the stability it provides for so
many people. It creates the sense of security and safety for individuals as it gives them a
united and unified sense of belonging. For the majority of people, culture gives them the
same feeling and emotional response as they have towards their family. In addition, culture
creates an instant connection between strangers who have never met before and provides an
initial foundation for them to build a strong relationship. Culture can become the typing link
between states, cities, regions, and even international country.

Culture is so important to man because it teaches us the real meaning of life. Every phase of
our life demands different actions and our culture teaches us that, as we grow up and grow
old, our culture holds our hand and directs us towards the right path

Culture is very important because of nurturing for people. When people belong to the right
type of healthy culture, it can be extremely nurturing for them. They can even start to feel
loved. People within the same culture share similar backgrounds and ideologies, making them
a unified community. However, this also helps them feel tied and linked to their ancestry,
providing a sensational feeling of longevity and giving them the space to live a truly honest
and authentic life.

Another powerful way of how culture may influence human life is its ability to organize
properly the relations between people and the norms according to which these people have to
live. According to Richardson (2001) stated that, “Human beings, in being born, are-uniquely
among living creatures-cast into a world of culture.” Humans belongs to one concrete group
in an inherit feature that can hardly be voided, so people have to organize their lives,
interests, and duties in accordance with the norms set by the culture

Culture also provides social and economic benefits to the people, culture provides an
improved learning, healthy, increased tolerance and make opportunities to come together
with others and enhances our quality of life and increases overall well-being for both
individuals and communities.

Culture can benefit an individual intrinsically, in this case culture is the source of delight,
wonders and can provide emotionally and intellectually moving experiences whether
pleasurable and unsettling, that encourages celebration or expressing creativity, forging an
individual`s identity, and enhancing or preserving a community`s sense of place.

Cultural experiences that human beings acquires are opportunities for leisure, entertainment,
learning, and sharing experiences with others. This really means that culture brings people
together.

Therefore, culture improves learning and valuable skills for the future mostly in children and
youths, participation in culture helps to develop thinking skills, builds self-esteem, and
improves resilience, all of which enhance education outcomes. For example, students from
low income families who take part in arts activities at schools are three times more likely to
get a degree than those who do not. Many jurisdictions make strong linkages between culture
and literacy which enhance learning outcomes in both public education and in the
development of valuable workforce skills.

In addition to this, culture helps build social capital, the glue that holds communities together.
By bringing people together, cultural activities such as festivals, fairs, or classes create social
solidarity and cohesion, fostering social inclusion, community empowerment, and capacity-
building, and enhancing confidence, civic pride and tolerance. The social capital created
through culture increases with regular participation in cultural activities. Cultural engagement
also plays a key role in poverty reduction and communities-at-risk strategies.

However, culture helps to develop variety of skills. Cultural involvement and creative
potential were essential to the universal man of the renaissance. One of the most example is
Leonardo da Vinci. He combined scientific and writing activities with art. He created a rock
music band, then developed his acting skills over time. Thus, the desire to master new
knowledge in the culture of cinema, music, art helps to develop.
Moreover culture improves our moral values. Following a culture instills moral values in us.
Every culture has its share of knowledge and beliefs which make us better human beings. It
makes us responsible people who can co-exists with each other in a harmonious society

Culture is important to human beings because it preserves and transfers knowledge to the
whole world. For example, culture conveys knowledge about society`s life in southern
England in the first half of the 19th century. From what dances were popular to the traditional
daily routine. You can glean such information not only from history books, but also from the
novels of Jane Austen.

Culture is also important to us because it defines our evolutionary identity. Culture helps us
to understand our ancestral values and gives us the very meaning of life. It also makes us
unique from other parts of the world. For example, when someone born in a particular region,
he or she can grow by learning their regional culture and the society shapes our lives to
become what we are today! Traditional culture of a community keeps us bonded forever

Culture traditions keep us disciplined. Every culture has certain norms and laws to lay down,
which if followed leads to peaceful existence. The rules were made for a reason and should
be followed rightly.

Culture is so important to man because it bring about compassion, each and every society has
culture that teaches people to co-exist with all the other cultures in the world. They teach us
to live compassionately and respectfully with everyone, so that peace prevails.

In conclusion, it has been that our culture should be upheld as our heritage. Nothing and no
one should be allowed to attack or destroy our cultural traditions. It is always wise to
remember that our cultures define our existence and makes us who we are.
