The Bright Side of Reading Manga/Watching Anime

I. Introductory Paragraph:
Manga and anime have been very popular to the youth these days. These became one of
people’s favorite hobby. One of those people include me and my friends, who also like
watching anime and reading manga. Although majority of our parents think that watching or
reading manga do not benefit us. But is that really true?

II. Body Paragraphs:

Body Paragraph 1:
What is anime and manga? Anime is an animation style that is very popular in Japanese
films. This does not only belong in Japan but also in other countries like Korea and China.
Manga is literally the comic version of anime. One of the most famous anime/manga would
be Attack on Titan, Chainsaw Man, Spy x Family, etc. These shows are highly enjoyed by the
majority of Otakus. The term ‘Otaku’ means a person who is an anime/manga fan.

Body Paragraph 2:
Can anime and manga actually benefit us? The answer is yes! People may wonder how, but
watching anime can help you learn another culture and a new language via sound and the
subtitles of the show. Unless you prefer watching the dubbed version of the show, then this
benefit may not be for you.

Body Paragraph 3:
Another benefit is the enhancement of critical thinking and creativity. Reading manga can
help us read expressions better through pictures and symbols. Having this hobby can also
serve as a stress reliever for many. This can relax one’s mind and learn at the same time.

III. Conclusion:

Watching anime or reading manga does not always affect people, especially the youth,
negatively. Most things always have benefits for us. We must always balance watching or
reading manga with our daily needs. Too much may affect us negatively.
