PARTUAT Y-SALCEDO

(Mayor’s Business/Project/ Innovation Challenge Proposals)

For DepEd Day Town Fiesta

RATIONALE

Salcedo LGU is committed in promoting creative ideas and incorporating innovative


solutions as we work toward our vision of becoming a smart and liveable municipality.
As part of the Mayor’s Business/Project/Innovation Challenge, were calling on
individuals or teams of students from Salcedo to develop business, project or innovative
proposals that contribute to making Salcedo a developed and economically friendly
community.

Students are invited to develop a written proposal (hard printed) and to be presented in
slide presentation that presents an innovative project or new venture that can be
implemented in the municipality and/or schools and contributes to the quality of life of
Salcedonians, or a proposal that leverages emerging technologies or develops new
innovations to enhance the delivery of municipal services.

The top proposals submitted and selected by the Mayor and the senior staff will be
invited to present their proposals at the Partuat Y-Salcedo which will be held on March
21, 2023 to a panel of leaders with expertise in municipal government, entrepreneurship
and innovation. Winner of the challenge will receive P50,000(?) or P100,000(?) in seed
funding to further their project.

The Partuat Y-Salcedo provides a unique opportunity for students to apply your
knowledge to real world issues and help shape the future of Salcedo. The winning
individual or team gains invaluable opportunity to launch their careers by tackling an
issue they’re passionate about while working alongside municipal and academic
leaders.

Teams may have 3 student members who are currently enrolled in secondary schools in
Salcedo.

Rules

1. An individual or a team of no more than 3 members


2. All team members must be a student in Salcedo Secondary schools or enrolled
in a post- secondary institutions and a bona fide resident of Salcedo.
3. Teams are encouraged to reach out to teachers or professionals in the field as
project advisors. This is by no means mandatory and will not have any impact on
the assessment of your submission.

For discussions with LCE:

Proposals can be new venture, expansion of existing venture, innovations, income


generating project for schools and barangays, agripreneurship, tourism. It should be
aligned to LCE’s agenda for local economic development, tourism, etc
