WORK IMMERSION PROGRAM REPORT GUIDELINES


Upon completion of the work immersion, students are required to submit their Work Immersion
Portfolio in an A4 Folder or Clear Book. The Work Immersion Portfolio must be well organized (i.e.,
Table of Contents, Tabs included, information must be typed or legibly and professionally presented).
The Cover Page must include: name of student, name of work immersion site, course information
(e.g. STEM-12 LAVOISIER) and the semester/year. Portfolios must include the Pre-immersion
documents and all the other information, including samples of work completed during the work
immersion experience as found below:

I. Work Immersion Site Profile


1. Give the name of the Agency and describe the Work Immersion site including the history,
Vision, mission statement, Corporate Values, type of organization (e.g., corporation, private,
government agency, non-profit, etc.), customers, and services offered, as well as other
special features. Submit a vicinity map of the Work Immersion site with respect to the
school’s location.
2. Agency Personnel and Oversight Personnel
a. Provide an organizational chart and label the names of the key officers, managers,
board, etc. Also show your place in the Agency.
b. Give a brief description of the individuals that you interacted with (including your
Agency/company Supervisor) on a regular basis and indicate whether they are full-time,
part-time, seasonal, and/or volunteers.
3. Office Environment. Describe the location where you worked and how it contributes to the
overall mission of the agency. Provide a site layout. Describe the office space you were
assigned and explain how that influenced your experience.

II. Evaluation of Work Immersion Program Experience (REACTION PAPER): Answer the five questions
