Richmond Zoo is opening a new Major Exhibit including a new walk


through Butterfly Garden

What: Richmond Zoo (metrorichmondzoo.com), one of the biggest zoos in Virginia and home
to over 2,000 animals and 190 species, is opening a new bug exhibit. Metro Richmond Zoo is a
privately owned, for-profit zoo in Chesterfield County, Virginia.

Come and be the first to see and take pictures and videos of our beautiful new exhibit. This new
exhibit will have a variety of “Bugs'' from around the world that will feature in the exhibit. The
main attraction of the exhibit will be the amazing walk-through butterfly garden where a thou-
sand butterflies will be feeding, resting and emerging from cocoons.

When: The exhibit opens November 1st, 2023.


Mon-Sat: 9:30am-5pm
Sun: Closed

Why: Richmond Zoo is a wildlife sanctuary where you can come and visit and admire the beauty
of over 190 species of animals from all over the world. With the release of our new bug exhibit
we are going to be donating 50% of all profits made from ticket sales made from November 1st -
November 6th 2023 will be donated to wildlife conservation charities. We want to give back and
make sure these beautiful animals have a habitat in the wild so we can continue to admire these
amazing creatures for years to come.
