16 personalities quiz reflection

After reading through all the descriptions about this personality type – Advocate (INFJ),
everything is accurate, detailed, and right to some points which I have been thinking about.
When it talks about strengths, the keywords are creative, insightful, principled, passionate, and
altruistic. Some of them really stand out for me, especially insightful and altruistic, which I also
included on the All About Me poster. I am insightful because I always like to stay quiet and look
at other people around me, just like what I mentioned in the Introduction Letter. I am
sometimes sensitive that I would predict other people’s thoughts without any purpose. I also
try my best to avoid any arguments by stepping back first before anyone else. As for my
weaknesses, it is true that I am reluctant to open up, prone to burnout, and perfectionistic. I
find it hard to have an authentic friend to whom I can open up, and I spend lots of time thinking
about what a true friendship is. Perfection also causes a lot of struggles in my life basis that I
sometimes push myself too hard and feel the need for self-care while thinking that I shouldn’t
rest.

Since the strengths that stand out to me the most are insightful and altruistic, I think this
personality type was born to listen and care. The career paths suggested are jobs related to
helping/ connecting, such as a counsellor, therapist, psychologist, teacher, yoga instructor, and
spiritual leader. Some other jobs suggested are related to health care, such as nursing, physical/
occupational therapy, medicine, and nutrition. It is quite accurate, and psychology is the
program that I plan to pursue in my post-secondary. But I am not a straightforward person who
makes decisions easily. I always have a hard time deciding which job or even other things in my
life is the best because I imagine many possibilities and feel a sense of loss. I would think and
picture anything that might happen in the process, the result, and what I end up with. Leading
back to perfectionistic, I desire to pursue a career that best fits me and my entire life.
