Strengths, Interest, Values Reflection

Intelligence: Personality: Career Interest:

Naturalist, Musical, Introversion, Sensing, Enterprising, Social,

Linguistic Feeling, Perceptive Conventional

Part 1: Personality

1. What is your Personality?

My personality type is ISFP. This is short for Introversion, Sensing, Feeling, and

Perceptive.

2. What does each part of your personality say about you?

Introversion means I know when I want some alone time and peace of mind from

those around me. Sensing means I know when something is not right about myself.

Feeling means I know that something is not lining up with what I stand by or

moral/values in my life.

3. List two strengths that indicated on your report. Give an example from your life

that demonstrates that these qualities are strengths.

One of my strengths include my ability to sense, which can range from emotions

to body language. When a friend is feeling down I ask them if they are okay and need

someone to talk to. This helps me better understand signs of emotions and body

language.

My second strength is my ability to feel. This ranges from mood to the setting of a

certain place. For example if I am out with friends at night and I suddenly feel uneasy

and uncomfortable, I talk to my friends and we get out of there before something
happens.

4. What qualities should a career have in order to satisfy your particular

personality?

As an ISFP, the career I am looking for should include a professional, yet friendly

atmosphere. As well as comfort and understanding for employees' mental and physical

health. No matter how small or big, because anything small can lead to something big.

Another thing I am looking for is an exclusive space to breathe and rest for those who

get worn out easily, or have a hard time outside of the workspace.

5. How can you use this information to make an informed career choice?

I can use my personality type to make an informed career choice by looking into

job descriptions and seeing if they match up with what I am looking for. I can also use

my personality type to search on the web for “best jobs for an introverted person”. This

way I can select a career I will be happy to stay.

Part 2: Intelligence

6. What are your top three intelligences?

The first intelligence is naturalistic. My second intelligence is musical. My third

Intelligence is linguistic.

7. What do these intelligences mean about you?

My intelligences explain to me how I feel about the world and my inner peace. I

go with the flow of what goes on in my life. When things get hard or out of whack, I can

look deep within my brain and comprehend what is really happening. With that being

said, I can count on music to bring me back down to earth and allow me to do what I do
best be in the moment. Being a linguist allows me to read and write fluently to better

express myself, as well as understanding those around me.

8. How can you use this information to make an informed career choice?

Being a naturalist helps me make an informed career choice with what I want. I

believe in running my own baking store, creating artwork, and being my own boss.

Being a linguist allows me to use language to better express myself in my dreams by

brainstorming/writing down ideas to accomplish my career ideas/choices.

Part 3: Career Interest Profiler

9. What are your strongest interests?

My first strongest interest is enterprising. My second strongest interest is my

social knowledge. My third strongest interest is conventionalist.

10. What do these interests mean about you?

My social interest allows me to talk and understand others with ease. My

enterprising and conventionalist interests allow me to understand directions, organize,

plan accordingly for the best possible outcome of a project, work task, etc.

11. How can you use this information to make an informed career choice?

I can use this information to make an informed career choice by using my

knowledge to find the exact task under job description that may suit me best. For

example, a conventionalist is working as a salesperson who looks over, reorganizes, or

refolds products to look it’s best when not serving customers.

Part 4: Work Values

12. What are your top three work values?

My first work value is support. My second work value is independence. My third

work value is relationships.

13. What do these work values mean to you?

My work values are important to me because I do not want to put my mind or

body in a state that it does not do well in. I enjoy the freedom of working alone, but like

having the option of supportive coworkers when I need a hand. Having a team

relationship within the work atmosphere already established is recommended because I

do not want to seem like the odd one out. I want to be able to feel like I can ask

questions and ask for help from others I work with.

14. How can this information help you make an informed career choice?

I can use this information to ask specific questions for the employer during

interviews. This allows for completely honest answers that excite me to accept the job

offer or to deny due to the lack of work values not established in the company.

Part 5: Career result comparison

15. Review the career lists provided at the end of each survey. Identify three

careers that are similar across the lists. List the careers and explain why each

career may be satisfying to you, citing evidence from your survey results.

Educational Administration: This career would be one of the three jobs that suit me

due to the fact that you are there making a difference in a student's life. This career

requires me to listen to students and faculty. I also get to understand the needs and

concerns towards things like gender neutral bathrooms, changes in curriculum, and how

to improve student life to name some examples. Due to the fact that I was once a
student feeling burnt out, misunderstood, punished for things I could not help or change

no matter how hard I tried. Going through the outdated school system, I understand

there are students who still go through this and there needs to be a change in most

aspects of school. These policies have been around since the 1980’s or longer.

Marine Biologist: I believe being a marine biologist appeals to me due to the fact our

planet is constantly changing. This is for the worse due to climate change. I want to

better understand how our problems have affected the innocent sea life that lives below

us. I also want to understand what changes have occurred due to man-made problems

such as oil spills and floods that kill off wildlife such as sea urchins and coral that is

bright and pretty. I am fascinated by underwater creatures that are undiscovered and I

want to find them. I also want to bring light to the mass loss of underwater sea life

homes due to oil spills and overfishing certain species. I want to know about how this

disrupts the oceans circle of life or pyramid.

Librarian: I feel like being a librarian comes with its ups and downs in regard to the

future outlook for libraries. Becoming a librarian would benefit me in a way of creating a

connection and conversation with helping children and adults find a book just right for

them. I feel like I would enjoy that moment of helping someone realize they love

reading. I want to help people know where to look and help recommend books. In a

day's work it is completely silent. Everyone will use a soft inside voice, will be respectful,

and help each other find what they are looking for.
