Part 1: Do What You Are

Complete the Do What You Are survey in Naviance. Use your report to answer the

questions below.

1. What is your personality type? ESFP

2. What does each aspect of your personality mean about you?

I can be friendly and warm as well as energetic. I mostly enjoy things I'm best at

when I'm with the people I like. I'm realistic, sensible and pragmatic, and good with

details and have a great memory for the facts that pertain to people. I'm eager to help, I

try to avoid criticizing others and usually are not interested in controlling them. I use

common sense to devise solutions to immediate problems and provide practical help to

other people. Most of my decisions are based on my personal feelings and experiences, so

I may not foresee the more logical consequences of my actions.

3. List two strengths indicated on your report. Give an example from your

life that demonstrates that these qualities are strengths.

Two strengths are curiosity, will ask questions and enjoy being busy.

I picked these two strengths to talk about out of all of the other strengths

because I think they are more common to my daily life. I say curiosity is my

big strength because I was always taught that if you were to ask questions, it

shows you're interested and you want to excel. The other strength that

demonstrates me is staying busy and never lacking or sitting there doing

nothing because then I feel helpless and I don’t like feeling that way.
4. What qualities should a career have in order to satisfy your particular

personality?

Some qualities a career should have that can satisfy my personality

type would be social interaction on the job, involving work that responds to

people's needs and benefits others in a tangible way.

5. How can you use this information to make an informed career choice?

I can use this information to make an informed career choice by

allowing myself to find actual careers that I would personally like for myself

and it shows me how many options I have.

Musical:This intelligence includes the ability to play an instrument or sing, as

well as a number of other skills such as: recognizing tones, patterns, rhythms, beats and

sounds; enjoying and analyzing music; understanding musical structures; and, creating

melodies and rhythms.

Existential: Existential intelligence is the ability to see the big picture in everything - the

relationships and connections, vastness and limitations, and how everything fits together.

This intelligence is used in considering questions about our existence, such as purpose,

life, death, and our place in the universe.

Interpersonal: This intelligence includes understanding and working with people,


building relationships, seeing the world from others' point of view, communicating well

verbally and non-verbally, cooperating in a group, having influence, and responding to

the mood, personality and goals of others.

I can use this information to make an informed career choice by understanding

each part of myself and how I would be able to act and be around a work environment.

I'm learning more and more about myself with each survey I take.

I think these work values can show how I like to do things and work in general, and what

Part 5: Career Results Comparison

Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurses, they provide advanced nursing care for

patients with psychiatric disorders. May provide psychotherapy under the direction of

a psychiatrist. Healthcare social workers, they provide individuals, families, and

groups with the psychosocial support needed to cope with chronic, acute, or terminal
