Strengths, Interests, Values Reflection

Part 1: AchieveWorks Personality

Complete the Personality survey in Naviance. Use your report to answer the questions below.

1. What is your personality type?

My personality type is INTJ, introversion, thinking, judging and intuition.

2. What does each aspect of your personality mean about you?

Each aspect of my personality means I am an introvert, this means I am prone to my intuition. I

have a very good thinking and judging personality at first meet.

3. List two strengths indicated on your report. Give an example from your life that demonstrates
that these qualities are strengths.

Two strengths would be motivated by being independent and analytic. These would be strengths
because being independent and analytic shows that I'm able to do things on my own and think
them out.

4. What qualities should a career have in order to satisfy your particular personality?

Qualities a job should have would be being able to exercise my ability to make sense of complex
theories and apply it to evaluating problems and devising creative solutions. A hands-on person
with a passion for creativity for my specified job.

5. How can you use this information to make an informed career choice?

This information helps me understand that the work I want to go into which is being a graphic
designer and business owner would be the best fit for me. I am a quick thinker and independent
at that and am able to analyze and solve problems.

6. What are your top three intelligences?

My three top intelligences are musical, logical, and existential. Meaning i am a person who
learns music, I am logical I go for facts and existential as I am a free and responsible agent
around others.

These interests mean I am a very smart and for the facts type of person. Music helps me learn
and I like to have facts behind theory.

8. How can you use this information to make an informed career choice?

This information helps me understand business is where I need to go. Being a free agent to others
shows that I'm existentially intelligent.

Part 3: Career Interests Profiler

Complete the Career Interests Profiler in Naviance. Use your report to answer the questions
below.

9. What are your strongest interests?

My strongest interests are enterprising.

10. What do these interests mean about you?

These interests mean I want to work with shirts and start my own business doing so. Enterprising
my own business is what that means. I would be able to own and run my own screen printing and
graphics business.

11. How can you use this information to make an informed career choice?

This information tells me where i'm focused is right as its a passion. Entrepreneurship is my way
to go.

Part 4: Work Values

Go to www.onetonline.org. Under “Advanced Search”, select “Work Values”. Review the

description of each work value. Select three work values that are most important to you. Answer
the questions below about your work values.

12. What are your top three work values?

Accountability, being honest,focusing on detail.

13. What do these work values mean about you?

These work values mean I would be a great asset to any job including my own business. Honesty
and detail oriented means my business would boom as I would want it to be perfect. My values
are very precise to what I want to do with my future.

14. How can you use this information to make an informed career choice?

This helps me know that whatever career I choose it will be something I'm honest with myself
about and I truly want to do . Business ownership being a part of that. My accountability, honesty
and detailed orientation holds me to this.

Part 5: Career Results Comparison

Review the career lists provided at the end of each survey. Identify three careers that are similar
across the lists. List the careers and explain why each career may be satisfying to you citing
evidence from your survey results.

Three careers that I often saw on my lists were graphic design, construction and business
owner/entrepreneur. Each of these careers may be satisfying to me because it allows me to use
my skills in design. I prefer to have a career in which I can be independent and work at my own
pace. Owning my own business and graphics design allow me to complete projects with my own
management and skills.
