For test setup, installa temperature gage inthe power steering reservoir, and install a test kt (shutof valve, pressure gauge and flow meter) in the line from pump to steering gear. For detals of test setup, see page 11 of the Troubleshooting Guide For Pump Tests: 'A) Maintain oll temp at 125°- 150° F, fol procedures on page 13 of the Troublesheoting Guide, and measure flow at RPM and pressures indicated 8) Maintain oil temp at 180° - 200° F and repeat A) above For Gear Tests: 'A) Maintain ol temp at 125° - 150° F, and folow the procedures on pages 1 through 16 of the Troubleshooting Guide. 8) lf necessary (see Part 4 on page 16 ofthe Troubleshooting Guide), maintain ol tamp at 180° -200°F and repeat parts 2&3 (Internal Leakage Tess) For System Back-Pressure Tests: Maintain cil tomp at 125°- 150° F and follow the procedures on pages 15-16 of the Troubleshooting Guide.
