DMS
Enterprise design Project

Brief

Most car dealerships currently use

outdated software's to track their
inventory, manage sales, and understand
customer relationships

How might we create a system to increase

visibility, efficiency and thereby overall
productivity in a car dealership.

Visibility of all cars across all their

franchises and/or locations.
They may need to manually edit vehicle
records or set rules on how/where stock
can be advertised on a car-by-car basis.

But this is tedious and time-consuming

when managing hundreds of cars across

multiple locations.

Many opportunities are being missed

simply because it’s too much work to
track down those cars that aren’t in a

‘typical’ stage of the process.

Insights

Multiple departments under the GM, each can

view reports, but add data only to their
respective domains
One enterprise software (of the company) and
one for the dealership
Employees require training to learn the
software, but educating the employees is not
checked by the software
GM generates Booking report and Sales reports
These are downloaded as excel formats, and
the software fails to provide a visualization

Evolution of visual design
Having a style guide in place alongside working on the
wireframes is reduces a lot of back and forth during the
design
Tables were a challenge to design, but overdesigning them
might distract the user
Streamlining all the buttons is very crucial at the start
