misconceptions. Discussions are rarely done but
rather all the answers and ideas will come from
the learner's discovery/exploration and guide
question provided. Avoid spoon feeding all the
information.
2. Avoid consuming so much time in motivating
activities.
3. Repetition is no longer necessary for secondary,
so try expanding or elaborating terms and
concepts if you teach highschool.
4. Avoid constantly turning your back to the
learners, powerpoint is just a guide for your
learners, don't directly read it, if you read it
please elaborate or provide further explanation.
5. Fillers such as “so” and “uhm” must be
minimized.
6. In teaching science at secondary level, code
switching is no longer encouraged though it
sometimes can be utilized if the teacher sees that
learners are having a hard time comprehending.
However, always try to facilitate learning using
English as a medium.
7. Avoid compact lessons, try scaffolding. For
instance, if your topic for today is "Types of
waves," you must complete the discussion of

can also use it as a review or for motivational
activity if you want to incorporate that lesson
