- Clear and direct instruction.
- Very Energetic! The teacher was able to set the
mood and energy from the start up until the end.
- Maximize chat/button reaction. This keeps the
engagement with the students.
- Utilize technology integration EFFICIENTLY.
The teacher did not have any problem for
transitions for technology integration. Keeps the
good flow of the class and minimize interruption.
This shows how prepared they are for this Demo
Teaching.
- Very spontaneous talking. No DEAD AIR! The
teacher’s communication strategy is excellent.
Were able to KEEP us interested.
- Repeat the question if no one wants to answer.
This buys students time to think and process the
question.
- Prepared to answer students’ question.
- Proper transition to Teacher 2 after the
analysis part. The teacher was able to wrap-up
the analysis to bridge connection with the
abstraction. Very good strategy to let the students
feel that this is a ONE class/session.
- Presented and discussed the rubric during the
assignment part. This will help the students to
let them know what is EXPECTED to them.
Assignment Closing Activity
AVOID
- Did not addressed the technical
issue/problem during the opening or prayer
portion. As teachers, we should have a back
up plan if this issue exists. Instead of playing a
video, the teacher should have turn over or
leads the prayer since there is a technical issue.
- No formal background.
- Inconsistent looking/speaking to the
camera. This will let the students feel that we
are somehow connected despite the online
environment.
- Only one student answered ALL of the
questions during the motivation part. The
motivation part sets the mood for the entire
session. There are other students raising their
hands but you only called Haela to answer the
three (3) questions. It’s essential to include
OTHER students to build connection with
them in the early portion.
- Repeating your students answer. This
happened during the motivation and analysis
portion. Yes, we have to affirm our students
answer but we should have a strategy other
than repeating it all over again. Learn to
PROCESS their answers.
- Acknowledging students’ answer and that’s
it. Don’t just acknowledge the answers and
just leave them behind. After the students’
answer, the teacher always followed up with
“Gusto ko ‘yung sinabi mo…” and that’s it.
Processing students’ answer is very important
in teaching our subject, values education.
- The value for this lesson (Disiplina sa Sarili)
was given by the teacher instead students
realizing it during the processing question.
Instead of the value being part of affirmation
to students’ answer (In the part of… ‘Kapag
nag focus ka sa sarili mo, kapag nagkaroon ka
ng disiplina sa sarili’….) the teacher should
have a follow up question leading to the value,
not just giving it away.
