Interviewer: Good afternoon, do you mind answering a few questions?


Kate: How long will it take?
Interviewer: Just a couple of minutes.
Kate: Well, I guess I can answer a few questions. Sure. Why not? Go ahead.
Interviewer: OK. I’d like to know your opinion. What is the best brand for
laptops, smartphones and other consumer electronics?
Kate: I’d say that Apple is the best brand. I always buy their products and I’m
quite satisfied.
Interviewer: Which brand is the most expensive?
Kate: Well, Apple is also the most expensive brand. I guess that’s why they
are the best in my opinion.
Interviewer: And which brand do you think is the worst?
Kate: Oh...To be honest, I don’t really know. I haven’t tried too many brands.
Interviewer: Thank you. Which is the most suitable brand for older people?
Kate: Well, I’m still quite young, but I think that Apple products are generally
easier to use than other products, so they would probably be the most
suitable for older people
Interviewer: So, which brand do you think is the most popular with younger
people?
Kate: Apple again? or maybe Samsung?
Interviewer: Have you tried any Samsung products?
Kate: No, I haven’t. But my friends have Samsung smartphones and they are
generally quite happy with them. But I think that Apple make Better and more
reliable laptops. I’ve never had any problems.
Interviewer: Thank you very much for your time.

2. COMPARATIVOS Y SUPERLATIVOS.
Un Comparativo es una comparación entre (normalmente) dos
personas, dos animales o dos cosas:
2.1. Comparativo As … As en inglés:
Este tipo de comparativo se puede emplear en dos tipos
distintos de situaciones: la primera es con el verbo TO BE y
Adjetivos, y la segunda con otros verbos y adverbios. Veamos
esto con más detalle:
Usamos esta expresión para decir que dos cosas, personas,
animales, etc. son parecidos en algún aspecto.
También podemos utilizar as…as para decir que dos cosas,
personas, lugares son diferentes si usamos el negativo. Veamos:
› Madrid is not as hot as Rio de Janeiro. (Madrid no es tan caliente
como Río de Janeiro.)
› Mobile phones aren’t as expensive as cars. (Los teléfonos móviles
no son tan costosos como los autos.)
› My brother doesn’t cook as well as me.(Mi hermano no cocina tan
bien como yo.)

2.2. Adjetivos comparativos y superlativos
- (TALL) - I am taller than my brothers = Soy más alto que mis
hermanos
- ( EASY) - English is easier than Spanish = El Inglés es más fácil
que el Español
Sin embargo, no siempre hay que  incluir ‘than…’ cuando la
comparación es obvia por contexto:
- (COLD) - It’s colder today, isn’t it? (than yesterday) = Hace más frio
hoy, ¿verdad? (que ayer)
Con el Superlativo no estas comparando nada. Es lo más / lo
mejor / lo peor de su categoría:
- (FAST) - Jane is the fastest girl in her class = Jane es la chica más
rápida de la clase
- (HIGH ) - The highest mountain is the Everest = La montaña más
alta es el Everest
- (FRIGHTENING) - That film was the most frightening I’ve ever
seen! = Esa peli fue la más terrorífica que haya visto jamás!
