A picto’s face is the shape that
encloses it, which says something
about the general role a delver
plays on a crew or in the ‘van.

The final step is to fill the picto’s
face with a personal combination of
elements. Pictograms include several
radicals that have shared meaning
between delvers. They show off a
delver’s pride in their homeland,
communicate their interests, or say
something more specific about the kind of work they do.
The idea is to make it distinct—seeing radicals multiple
times can help one learn the “language,” but there are no
hard rules for how one should look.

Spell circle delvers specialize in using Point-wearers are in the vanguard, swords

all wizards and sorcerers, but if one is a living as a delver and wield a variety of
generalist mage or shines brightest when weapons, you might wear the point.

The primrose stands between a crew
and total eradication. They specialize
in healing and cleansing the curses and
weirdness that delvers tend to pick up.
While druids and clerics are obvious
choices, some bards also wear this face.
The job of a codex face is to know what’s
going on when tentacles start coming up
through the floor. They spend their free
time in books about the history of a crew’s N imble D ungeon B lood
destination. Wizards and bards are a
natural fit.

G ladhand R ampart
R oot P resence S peed

Wearers of the gladhand usually keep
their pictos the most visible. When it’s
time to negotiate, crews often let the
gladhand shine (or create interesting new
problems).
A delver who specializes in protecting oth- S un T ree T reasure
ers wears the rampart face. Barbarians who
barely notice a hail of arrows, shield-toting
knights, and abjurers who raise protective
spells wear this face proudly.

S ignpost S wapper W ealth S tep

This is the face worn by the Dungeon The swapper face is for Littfeld’s traveling
Scouts, adopted to make themselves more merchants. It’s often displayed on a wagon
visible in a delver bar’s crowd. Someone shop’s sign, with an interior describing
wearing this face has leads to sell. what one might find within.

F alse E ye

A false eye controls who sees what, when, and how. If

a crew wants to know something they aren’t supposed
to, the false eye steps in. They are rogues, illusionists,
infiltrators, and spies.
