Dear Medical Practitioner / Dental Surgeon

The Medical Council of Malta is the competent authority for the registration and
regulation of Medical Practitioners and Dental Surgeons in Malta, and the keeping of the
Specialist Register.

Kindly be informed that the Medical Council will only be able to assist you upon the
receipt of a duly filled application form and submission of documentation requested in
the Application Form. Please find a brief outline of the procedures:

1. A duly filled application form is to be submitted to the Medical Council Malta,

either personally, by another delegated by you in writing, or by mail. Please ensure
to submit all documentation requested. Please note that photocopy service is not
offered by the Medical Council.

2. Applications may be submitted at our Office (St. Luke’s Hospital, Outpatients

Department, Level 1, St. Luke’s Square, Gwardamangia, PTA 1010, Malta) from
Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 14.00 (or as per otherwise indicated by
email). However, it is very important to set an appointment before coming by
sending an email to medicalcouncil@gov.mt. Documentation can either be
collected personally, or by any person delegated by you in writing, upon
presentation the ID Card.

3. The First Time Registration Fee for the inclusion in the Specialist Register amounts
to € 51.30 (Article 170 of Act No. XIII of 2015, ‘Budget Measures Implementation
Act’).
