New GshpCalc Users,

A Dropbox folder has been shared with you that contains the files for GshpCalc. Please verify to
skavanau@retiree.ua.edu that you have received the folder and successfully downloaded the program.

GshpCalc is now freeware along with the many other HVAC and GSHP programs on the geokiss.com
website. It no longer requires registration codes and can be installed on as many computers as you wish.

Before installing the GshpCalc program, it is advised that you delete any previous versions of GshpCalc,
including demo versions. If you have zone (.zon) or ground loop (.glf) files from previous projects that you
would like to retain, move them to a temporary folder until after you install the attached version. Then you
can move them back to the new GshpCalc subdirectory.

To install: Open the LoadGSHP folder and click on the setup application file. The program and files will be
found on the C: drive, Program Files (x86). The attached hp2 files are for water-to-water heat pumps and can
be added into the GshpCalc subdirectory to supplement the existing water-to-air heat pump files in the
subdirectory.

For the program to work properly, all files must be in the same subdirectory as the .exe file.

Another “perk” is that you will be signed up to receive (unless you already receive it) our newsletter, Outside
the Loop, which is “technical newsletter for skeptics of conventional HVAC and GSHP wisdom”. Most recent
editions of the newsletter are attached.

Thanks and Geo Keep It Simple and Solid,

Steve Kavanaugh

PS I would appreciate in return for the GshpCalc program that you send the names and e-mails of 5
colleagues that would be added to the Outside the Loop mailing list. There is a lot of information in the
newsletter that is helpful to those in the industry that want to do the right thing by their customers. The
only e-mails that will be sent to those on the mailing list is the newsletter itself.
