Visiting the wholesale area
- The wholesale area consists of hundreds of small stands in a large, crowded hall, where
buyers and sellers hurry along narrow lanes with their carts and trucks.
- It is an exciting area for tourists to view and photograph the fish and the action, but it is
also an area where tourists are likely to interfere with the professionals at work.
- Consequently, in order to prevent accidents and interference with business, tourists are
not allowed into the wholesale area before 10am, when the peak of the business
activities take place.
- Even when visiting after 10am, tourists are asked to refrain from bringing any luggage
into the market and to be constantly alert of what is happening around them to avoid
blocking traffic.

Hedgehog Cafe -> Shibuya Station Via Ebisu Line -> Roppongi Station
Opened in early 2016 and situated in Roppongi, HARRY Hedgehog Cafe is the newest addition
to the animal cafes scene in Japan. The charming little cafe is home to a number of hedgehogs.
Sip tea while cozying up to these tiny creatures; you can even feed them!
HARRY is a play on ‘harinezumi‘, the Japanese word for hedgehog. The cafe is housed in a
building together with another bunny cafe located on the third floor.
Pick the one(s) you like and the staff will bring them out of the enclosures and into boxes or
baskets for you to pet.
Because hedgehogs are naturally jittery animals, it is advised that you gently scoop them out of
the boxes or baskets with steady hands, and be sure to not make any sudden jerky movements
lest you give the animals a shock.
The cafe is often populated, so making a reservation for weekends and public holidays is
advised. Entry into the cafe is also chargeable, starting from ¥1,000 (S$13.17) per person for
every 30 minutes on weekdays, and ¥1,300 (S$17.13) on weekends.

No one visits Harajuku without having crepes at Takeshita Street. These warm French-style
Japanese crepes are so popular. There are four to five crepe stores in Harajuku, but we like
Angels Heart and Marion Crepes. Calbee has a shop in Takeshita Street, and it offers hot potato
chips straight from the fryer.
If you walk from Shibuya towards Meiji-Jingumae, you will find yourself in a quaint and charming
area littered with lifestyle concept stores and cafes. Here you find Brooklyn Pancake House. It is
essentially a New-Yorker style diner which offers a variety of sweet and savoury pancakes.

The Yurikamome is an automated, elevated train with rubber tires, which connects Shimbashi
Station on the Yamanote Line with all of Odaiba attractions and Toyosu Station on the
Yurakucho Subway Line. Trains depart every few minutes, and a ride between Shimbashi and
Daiba Station takes 15 minutes and costs 320 yen. If you ride the Yurikamome more than twice,
a 1-day pass for 820 yen is likely to pay off.
The Yurikamome is not covered by the Japan Rail Pass.
The Yurikamome crosses the Rainbow Bridge to get to Odaiba and offers spectacular views of
the harbor and the Tokyo waterfront. Sit or stand at the very front of the train for the most
impressive views.

Lim Family_2016
The Rinkai Line connects Osaki Station on the JR Yamanote Line with Shin-Kiba Station on the
JR Keiyo Line, stopping at the Tokyo Teleport and Kokusai Tenjijo underground stations on
Odaiba along the way. Some trains on the JR Saikyo Line continue to run on the Rinkai Line
and provide direct connections between Shinjuku, Shibuya and Odaiba.
The ride from Shinjuku to Tokyo Teleport Station on Odaiba takes 25 minutes and costs 500
yen. Note that the Japan Rail Pass, Seishun 18 Kippu and similar JR tickets are not valid on the
Rinkai Line between Osaki and Shin-Kiba, even though the line is served by JR trains.

Tokyo Water Bus operates boats between Odaiba Seaside Park and Hinode Pier (20 minutes,
480 yen, 1-2 boats per hour), where there are connections to Asakusa. Direct boats connect
Asakusa and Odaiba less frequently (50 minutes, 1560 yen). Furthermore, there are boats from
