Bank reconciliation statements is the statements which macth the balance as per cash book
and as per pass book.
In cash book – Debit - +
Credit –
In passbook – Debit- -
Credit -+
In every situation start from balance as per cash book and ending with balance as per
passbook and viceversa.

Payments side of passbook undercasted : Add
Receipt side of cashbook undercated: Add
Receipt side of passbook overcaste:Less
Cheques isueid but wrongly recorded (-
