Jaw and Body Connection

The jaw and body are connected through the skull, which is a part of the skeletal system.
The skull is made up of a number of bones that are connected to each other through
sutures, which are immovable joints. The jaw, or mandible, is connected to the skull
through the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), which allows the jaw to move up and down
and side to side. This joint is important for eating, speaking, and other activities that
involve movement of the jaw.

The jaw and body are also connected through the muscles of the head and neck, which
are responsible for moving the jaw and controlling its position. These muscles include
the masseter, which is responsible for closing the jaw, and the temporalis, which is
responsible for opening the jaw. Dysfunction of the muscles and joints of the jaw can
lead to pain and difficulty with movement, and can be treated by a variety of therapies,
including medication, physical therapy, and surgery.
