- It is the concept wherein all actions and procedures are taken to protect peoples life or
health. Safety is the restriction of factors in the workplace that might cause injury,
accidents, and other bad results. It's a collection of policies, attitudes, and safeguards
designed to keep workplace risks, accidents, and other types of injury to a minimum.
2. What is an Accident?
- It is something goes wrong when it wasn't supposed to. Collisions, injuries, and falls are
examples of physical accidents. Occupational accident is the term used when accident
happens in a workplace.
3. What is Hazard? and why do we need to identify Hazards?
- Any source of possible damage, injury, or bad health consequences on something or
someone is considered a hazard, it is an unavoidable danger . In workplace, health and
safety hazard is a must, other necessary risks maybe prevented by using protective
equipment.
- It is important to identify hazards to know the possible damage or accident to happen and if
we know the hazards then we can prepare for the consequences of injury to reduce
accidents.
