This study compared rates of nomophobia, or fear of being without a mobile phone, between Spanish and Portuguese nursing students. A survey was administered to over 400 nursing students across both countries. The results showed that over 80% of students experienced some level of nomophobia, with higher average scores found among the Spanish students compared to the Portuguese students. Nomophobia was also correlated with increased anxiety levels in the students.
