공과대학
기계시스템디자인공학과
기계시스템디자인공학과는 기계공학 기초이론을 기본으로 제품디자인/생산기술, NT/IT/BT, 전기전자 및 제어기
술, 로봇, 컴퓨터, 재료 기술에 이르기까지 여러 분야의 지식을 융합하여 기계산업, 정보통신산업, 플랜트 엔지니어
링산업, 로봇산업, 운송산업(자동차/항공/철도 등)등 각 분야에서 필요한 융합형 전문 설계 엔지니어와 연구 인력을
양성하고 있습니다
기계ㆍ자동차공학과
기계ㆍ자동차공학과는 기간학문인 기계공학과 응용학문인 자동차공학을 함께 연구하는 학과입니다. 기계공학 분야
는 에너지, 생산 등 기본 학문을 기반으로 항공기 설계기술, 마이크로 전자 기계 시스템을 이용한 초소형 정밀기계,
바이오 기계기술 등 첨단 기계공학으로 발전하고 있으며, 자동차공학 분야는 기계 및 전자공학을 기반으로 기존 자동
차는 물론 미래형 첨단 자동차와 그린 수송시스템 등 포괄적인 영역을 다루고 있습니다.
안전공학과
우리 생활에 꼭 필요한 산업 활동 중에 있을 수 있는 여러 가지 위험을 과학적인 방법으로 찾아내고, 사고에 의한 피
해를 과학적 으로 예측함으로써 사고를 미연에 방지하고 사고 발생 시 피해를 줄일 수 있는 방법 등을 연구합니다.
신소재공학과
신소재공학은 산업발전에 근간이 되는 공학 분야로서 물질의 구조와 특성을 이해하고, 이를 바탕으로 새로운 재료
를 개발ㆍ응용하는데 필요한 학문입니다. 산업기술의 발전에 필수적으로 요구되는 신소재의 연구, 개발과 생산을 위
해 금속, 반도체 및 세라믹 재료 등 각종 신소재의 구조와 물성 및 제조공정에 대한 이론 교육과 실험을 병행합니다.
건설시스템공학과
건설시스템공학과는 교량, 도로, 터널, 하천, 항만, 공항, 철도 등의 사회기반시설(infrastructure)계획, 설계, 시공
및 유지 관리를 통하여 안전하고 친환경적인 인프라를 구축할 유능한 건설 엔지니어를 배출할 수 있도록 노력합니
다. 사회기반 시설의 공학적 해석과 설계에 적용할 수 있는 기초이론을 배우고 이를 현장에 적용하도록 창의적 사고
력, 인간과 자연을 위하는 환경 보존적 마음, 그리고 사회적 책임감을 습득할 수 있는 교육과정, 우수한 교수진 및 실
험 시설을 가지고 있습니다.
건축학부 건축공학전공
건축공학은 인간생활을 영위하는 공간 창조를 위한 실용학문으로, 공간 구축에 직접적인 관련을 가진 기술 분야입니
다. 건축구조분야, 건축시공 분야, 건축환경 및 설비분야와 같이 관련된 전반적인 분야에 대한 교육과 실습 및 실험을
통하여 이론과 실제를 겸비한 건축인을 양성합니다. 졸업생들은 건설업체, 설계 및 감리 전문업체, 국가기관 및 연구
소 등 건축과 관련된 각 분야에서 우리나라 건설 산업과 기술 발전에 기여하고 있습니다.
건축학부 건축학전공
서울과학기술대학교의 개교와 함께 시작된 본교 건축학 교육은 2002년부터 국제적 기준에 따라 5년제 프로그램으로 개
편하여 운영되고 있으며, 한국건축학교육인증원(KAAB)의 인증기준 및 절차에 따라 국제적으로 인증된 건축학 전문학사
를 부여하고 있다. 건축설계 스튜디오를 중심으로 건축적 사고와 기술 및 실무 지식을 겸비할 수 있도록 디지털 디자인 기
법, 구조, 환경, 시공, 법규 등 건축실무 분야의 다양한 교과목들을 통해 창의적 인재 육성을 위한 체제를 구축하고 있다.
정보통신대학
전기정보공학과
전기정보공학과는 인류 생활에 필요한 전기공학과 정보화 사회의 IT 기술을 연구하여 21세기 전기정보 분야의 핵심
인력을 양성하는 학과입니다. 전통적 영역인 전력 발생, 변환, 전송 기술 및 전력 전자와 함께 전자정보통신 분야에서
중추적 역할을 하는 임베디드 시스템, 정보통신, 멀티미디어, 지능형 로봇에 관한 교육과 연구에 전념해 오고 있으며
또한 최근에는 미래 신성장 동력 기술 분야에 해당하는 신재생 에너지, 디스플레이, 바이오 공학, 인공지능응용 분야
로 그 범위를 확대하고 있습니다.국내외 유수한 연구 기관 및 산업 현장 경험을 가진 다수의 교수들이 전공 능력과 인
성을 겸비한 고급엔지니어를 양성하여사회 발전에 기여하고자 합니다.
전자IT미디어공학과
전자IT미디어공학과는 고도화된 IT 산업분야를 선도할 창의적 인재 양성을 목적으로, 전자공학과 IT미디어공학을 융
합하여 설립되었습니다. IT 기술은 현대 사회의 모든 부분을 근본적으로 바꾸어 놓고 있으며, 특히, 전자, 통신, 반도
체, 인공지능, 방송, 멀티미디어, 인터넷 등의 다양한 기술과 서비스가 융합하는 새로운 시대를 열었습니다. 다양한
정보화 사회의 요구에 효과적으로 대응하기 위하여, 전자IT미디어공학과는 전자공학과 IT미디어공학의 기초 전공 교
육을 통하여 기본 소양을 배양하고 전자공학전공과 IT미디어전공에서 각 분야의 심화교육을 실시하여 기술 개발을
선도하는 고급 연구개발 인력을 양성하고 있습니다.
컴퓨터공학과
1982년에 정보처리과로 신설, 1983년 전자계산학과로 변경, 2002년 컴퓨터공학과로 학과명을 변경하여 현재에 이르고
있는 컴퓨터공학과는, 컴퓨터 소프트웨어와 하드웨어 분야의 전문적인 지식을 습득하고 미래 정보화 사회를 선도적으로
이끌어갈 컴퓨터공학 분야의 창조적 능력을 갖춘 인재와 컴퓨터 소프트웨어 및 시스템 개발의 개발ㆍ운영ㆍ유지관리 등
컴퓨터와 관련된 다양한 분야에서 종사할 수 있는 고급 기술인력을 양성하고 있습니다. 특히, 컴퓨터공학과에서는 인공지
능, 빅데이터, 보안, 5G, 증강현실, 가상화폐로 대변되는 4차 산업혁명의 핵심분야인 SW를 배우고 연구하고 있습니다.
에너지바이오대학
화공생명공학과
화공생명공학은 화학 및 생물제품의 제조공정을 능률적 경제적으로 만들기 위한 프로세스의 계획 및 제조장치의 설계ㆍ건설
운전 등 중 대규모 이상의 화학장치를 취급하는 학문분야입니다. 최근에는 지구 자원고갈에 따른 신재생에너지 개발, 환경과
조화를 이루며 지속가능한 청정공정 개발, 정보 산업분야의 각종 핵심 부품재료 개발 및 삶의 질적 향상을 위한 생명공학 분
야 등에도 크게 기여하고 있습니다. 앞으로도 전통적인 플랜트 엔지니어링, 석유화학, 정밀화학 및 플라스틱 등의 산업뿐만
아니라 섬유, 반도체, 철강, 자동차, 조선, 우주, 항공, 에너지, 환경 기술 등 수없이 많은 산업분야에서 널리 활용될 것입니다.
에너지바이오대학
환경공학과 환경공학전공
고도산업사회의 형성으로 에너지 사용량 증가, 인구의 도시 집중화, 각종 산업문명의 발달로 인한 물, 대기, 폐기물,
지하수, 토양 등의 오염으로 자연환경의 훼손은 더욱더 심각해지고 있습니다. 또한 기술의 고도화에 의하여 각종 새
로운 물질이 합성되어 생태계에 난분해성물질로서 잔존하여 동식물에 위해를 끼치는 등 자연의 평형을 깨뜨리는 일
들이 최근 빈번하게 일어나고 있습니다. 이러한 환경오염으로 인한 문제점은 지역적인 것보다 범지구적인 것으로 관
심이 높아지고 있고, 이상기온, 오존층파괴, 사막화 등은 수질, 대기, 토양 등에 유기적으로 문제점을 유발하여, 환경
전체 분야에 있어서 이를 해결해야 할 시대적 필요성이 대두되고 있습니다. 환경공학과에서는 이러한 환경오염에 대
한 시대적 필요성에 능동적으로 대처할 수 있는 유능한 환경 전문가를 양성하고 있습니다.
환경공학과 환경정책전공
4차 산업혁명 시대가 도래함에 따라 융합형 인재에 대한 사회적 요구가 점차 증가하고 있으며, 이는 환경공학 분야에서
도 마찬가지입니다. 환경산업은 End of pipe로 대표되는 기존의 말단시설에서의 처리에서 벗어나, 점차 환경공학 및 관
리ㆍ정책, 서비스 분야로 진화해 나가고 있는 분야로써, 이러한 환경산업의 발전에 따라 환경공학분야도 관리, 정책, 예
방에 대한 중요도가 점차 증가하고 있습니다. 환경공학과는 이러한 시대적 요구에 부응하기 위해 국내에서 최초로 시도
되는 환경공학과 정책과학의 융합전공을 개설하여 운영하고 있으며, 기존의공학교과목에 더하여 정책을 위해 필요로 하
는 사회과학교과목을 함께 수강할 수 있도록 커리큘럼이 개설하여 운영하고 있습니다. 이러한 커리큘럼을 통하여 환경공
학과 정책과학의 통섭적 이해를 바탕으로 사회 안전과 시민행복을 구현하는 융복합형 실천인 양성을 추구하고 있습니다.
식품공학과
식품공학은 식품의 생산, 저장, 가공, 유통, 소비 및 인체의 건강에 관련된 종합과학 분야입니다. 식품공학과는 국제
경쟁력 향상을 위한 현장 적응력을 갖추도록 산업체에서 요구하는 수준의 교육과정을 편성함으로써 세계화, 정보화,
산업화에 대처할 수 있도록 하고 있습니다. 복잡하고 신비스러운 생명현상을 이해하기 위하여, 이를 보건, 의료, 식
품, 환경, 에너지 등의 분야와 접목시키되 식물의 세포 융합이나 유전자 조작 등을 통하여 차원 높은 생명현상을 규
명하면서 생산성이 높은 품종, 향료 및 생약 성분을 밝혀내어 장래의 농업이나 식량문제 해결에 기여하고 있습니다.
정밀화학과
정밀화학과는 국가 주요 사업인 정밀화학분야의 발전을 위해 기초 및 응용 연구를 바탕으로 한 고급 전문 인력을 양성, 배출하
고 정밀 화학 산업체에 필요한 기술 및 정보를 제공하기 위해서 설립된 학과입니다. 정밀화학은 원료의 성능을 향상시키고 기
능을 부여하여 부가가치를 향상시키는 화학분야로서 분자 설계기술 및 공정기술 연구에 정밀한 과학적 기술을 필요로 합니다.
또한, 현대 생활과 산업에 필요한 기초 생필품을 비롯하여 첨단제품의 원자재와 중간재에 이르기까지의 다양한 제품생산에 활
용되며, 신물질 침출ㆍ합성, 신공정개발 등 지식 집약화가 특성인 학문입니다. 계면활성제, 의약품, 반도체공정 세척제, 향료,
화장품, 안료, 도료, 접착제, 고분자, 환경처리, 보건의료 등 다양한 분야에서 정밀화학제품을 사용하고 있습니다.
안경광학과
안경광학과는 국내 최초의 4년제 안경광학과로 1996년에 개설되었습니다. 본 학과는 국민 안보건 의료에 이바지하고 안경광학 연
구에 선도적인 역할을 하는 전문 인력인 안경사의 양성을 목표로 하고 있습니다. 안경사란 시적보정용 안경의 조제 및 판매, 안경 굴
절력의 처방 및 사시 교정을 위한 처방 등을 하는 전문인을 가리킵니다. 이를 위하여 본 학과의 재학생들은 기초학문, 교양 학문 및
전공 학문의 체계적이고 연계적인 교육과 더불어 실무 교육을 함께 받고 있으며 또한 심화된 외국어 및 창의성 교육을 통하여 능동
적인 전문인을 양성하고 있습니다.
스포츠과학과
스포츠과학과는 스포츠 활동에서 동작의 효율적인 수행을 위한 운동메커니즘의 이해와 분석을 통해 스포츠과학의 제
반 지식뿐 아니라 운동 상황에 능동적으로 대처할 수 있도록 스포츠생체역학, 운동처방, 선수부상에 대한 응급처치
및 스포츠 재활(AT), 건강운동 심리, 스포츠마케팅, 조직인사관리, 여가사회심리 및 스포츠 사회학 등 다양한 분야를
과학적이고 체계적인 교육과정으로 스포츠과학 전문가를 양성하는 학과입니다. 이처럼 전문적인 교육을 토대로 스
포츠 분야에 대한 체계적이고 조직적인 학문연구를 통하여 국민의 건강증진과 행복한 삶의 추구에 주도적 역할을 수
행할 수 있는 스포츠과학 전문가를 배출하는데 그 목적이 있습니다.
조형대학
디자인학과 산업디자인전공
고도의 창의성과 지성 그리고 감성을 바탕으로 목적지향적, 체계적 그리고 창조적으로 생활 문화창출을 추구합니다. 인
간생활의 질을 향상시키기 위한 디자인의 계획적인 구체화를 도모하기 위하여 산업디자인에 관련된 과학ㆍ기술, 예술
그리고 사회ㆍ문화 등의 전문적 지식과 기술에 대한 통합적 관점에서 접근합니다. 이를 통해 과학적인 문제해결력, 감성
이 풍부한 조형력, 그리고 디자인 이노베이션의 창의력을 지닌 유능한 산업디자인 전문가 양성을 목표로 하고 있습니다.
디자인학과 시각디자인전공
오늘날 시각디자인의 개념은 전자기술혁명에 따라 멀티미디어에 의한 정보전달 영역으로 확대되었습니다. 시각디
자인전공은 급변하는 과학기술과 정보매체의 발달에 적응하는 풍부한 감성과 이지적 사고 능력을 배양하는 미래지
향적인 프로그램입니다. 또한 다양하고 폭넓은 국내외 교류를 통하여 기술정보화시대에 적응하기 위한 교육을 다하
고 있으며 종합적 감성에 호소하는 창조적이며 능동적인 시각디자인 전문 디자이너 양성을 목표로 하고 있습니다.
도예학과
21세기는 문화 예술의 시대이며, 그중에서도 도자문화는 인류의 탄생과 더불어 현재까지 생활과 밀접한 관련을 갖고 있습니
다. 따라서 오늘날에는 인류의 문화생활과 환경의 질적 향상을 위하여 도자문화에 대한 심도 있는 연구와 창작이 요구됩니다.
도예학과에서는 이러한 시대적 요구에 부합하는 예술문화 창조를 위해 심화된 이론과 창의적인 조형능력을 체계적으로 연
구ㆍ습득 하게 함으로써, 창조적이며 생산적인 도자문화의 창출을 위한 지도적 인력 양성을 목적으로 하고 있습니다.
금속공예디자인학과
금속공예디자인학과는 21세기 공예와 디자인을 선도하는 전문적이고 국제적이며 창의적인 공예 디자이너 양성이라는 목표
아래 패션리더로서의 쥬얼리 디자이너와 예술을 생활공간에 표현하는 문화상품디자이너 및 금속조형 디자이너를 육성합니
다. 또한 우리 고유의 전통과 문화가 조화된 새롭고 혁신적인 금속공예디자인을 세계에 전달하는데 기여함으로서 글로벌시대
의 국제적 경쟁력을 갖춘 공예 디자이너를 양성하고 있습니다. 금속공예디자인 전반에 관한 이론과 기술의 체계적이고 심층적
이며 통합적인 연구와 교육을 바탕으로 미래사회가 필요로 하는 창조적인 금속공예디자인 관련 전문가를 육성하고자 합니다.
조형예술학과
조형예술학과에서는 작가 정신과 이를 뒷받침하는 이론 및 실기의 연마를 통해, 미래의 미술 전문가에게 주어질 요구와 도전을 예
감하고 그것에 부응할 창의적 능력을 개발할 수 있도록 합니다. 회화, 조각, 판화 등의 전통적 매체와 비디오, 애니메이션, 사진 등
현대과학기술이 제공한 첨단 매체를 아울러 습득하고, 미술 이론을 통해 철저한 논리적 사고와 표현 능력을 배양합니다. 장르와
매체를 넘나드는 융합교육과정은 전 방위적 감각을 지닌 진취적 예술가 및 우수한 미술 전문가를 배출하는데 그 목적이 있습니다.
인문사회대학
행정학과
현대사회는 정보사회의 고도화, 과학기술의 발전 그리고 지방자치제의 도입으로 인해 중앙 및 지방정부의 행정기능
이 점차 세분화ㆍ전문화되고 있습니다. 행정학과에서는 이러한 우리 사회의 추세에 맞춰 전문적인 행정관리능력을
갖춘 해당분야에서 지도적인 역할을 담당할 수 있는 고등 전문 인력을 양성하는데 교육목표를 두고 인사, 재무, 조
직관리 등 행정학 기초분야뿐 아니라 이를 토대로 현대사회에서 점차 수요가 확대되고 있는 전문적 행정 분야인 통
계분석, 행정정보, 행정규제, 환경, 복지, 과학기술, 정책분석 등의 다양한 전문지식을 연마할 수 있도록 교육하고 있
습니다.
영어영문학과
영어영문학과는 21세기 국제화 시대에 필요한 우리 사회 각 분야 영어 전문가 양성을 위해, 뛰어난 영어 능력과 국
제 경쟁력, 창의적 문제해결 능력 및 열린 자세를 갖춘 인재 교육을 목표로 하고 있습니다. 이를 위해 인문학의 기본
소양을 바탕으로 영어학, 영미 문학/문화, 영어 교육학, 영한통번역에 대한 심화된 전공 지식을 연마케 하는 교육 과
정을 제공하고 있습니다.
문예창작학과
문예창작학과는 언어, 문학 분야의 산업 실용화가 절실히 요구되는 21세기 정보화 시대의 중추적인 전문인 양성을
목표로 합니다. 시, 소설, 희곡, 시나리오, 방송 드라마 등 창작 실력뿐만 아니라 연간 수조원 이상의 매출로 확산되는
광고, 신문, 방송 출판 분야 등에 투입될 현장실무 교육을 위하여 국어국문학의 필수 지식과 교양 있는 인격형성으로
민족 문화의 토대 위에 산업문화를 창달할 교육과정이 개설되어 있습니다.
기술경영융합대학
산업공학과 (산업정보시스템전공, ITM (IT Management) 전공)
21세기 융합기술과 스마트 정보화 사회를 선도하는 글로벌 리더 양성을 목표로하는 산업공학과는 산업정보시스템전
공과 ITM전공으로 구성되어 있습니다. 산업정보시스템전공은 뛰어난 교육역량(전국 9위)으로 국내ㆍ외 유명 공모전
및 경진대회와 취업률에서 우수한 성적을 내고 있습니다. ITM전공은 IT에 대한 지식과 경영 마인드를 모두 갖춘 미
래의 글로벌 IT리더를 양성하는 것을 목표로 합니다. 본 전공은 영국 노섬브리아대학교(Northumbria University)
가 함께 운영하는 복수학위 프로그램으로, 모든 강의가 영어로 진행되며 본교와 영국 노섬브리아대학교의 학위를 함
께 수여합니다.
MSDE(Manufacturing Systems and Design Engineering)학과

MSDE학과는 생산시스템 및 설계공학(Manufacturing Systems and Design Engineering)의 교육과정을 영어
로 진행하며 영국 노섬브리아대학교와 함께 복수학위 프로그램을 운영합니다. 캡스톤 디자인(Capstone Design)
기반의 커리큘럼을 통하여 4차 산업혁명이 요구하는 융ㆍ복합적 창의력과 통찰력을 갖춘 통섭형 엔지니어 양성을
교육 목표로 합니다.
경영학과 경영학전공
경영학과 경영학전공은 지속적인 혁신과 교육을 실행함으로써 미래 실무형 경영 인재 양성을 목표로 하고 있습니다.
특히 경영 리더로서 갖추어야 할 전문지식을 학습하고 창의적 의사 결정 능력 배양을 강조하며 다양한 국제교류와
외국인 AMS(Asian Management Studies)프로그램의 운영을 바탕으로 글로벌 경영 실무 인재로서의 소양 함양
에 중점을 두고 있습니다. 특히, 창업융합, 데이터 분석경영 및 경영전문자격(공인회계사, 세무사, 계리사, 감정평가
사, 관세사, 노무사 등) 트랙 중 최소한 하나의 트랙을 이수함으로써 4차 산업혁명 시대의 실무형 경영 리더로 성장
할 수 있는 기회를 제공합니다.
* AMS(Asian Management Studies)프로그램

AMS프로그램은 능력과 리더십을 갖춘 아시아의 미래경영지도자를 양성하기 위한 과정입니다. 첫 2년 동안, 이
프로그램 AMS학생들에게 특화된 한국문화, 한국어, 기초 경영학/경제학 교육 과정을 제공합니다. 학생들은 그
후 2년 동안 보다 심화된 경영학 과정을 세부분야별(마케팅, 생산, 인사조직, 재무, 회계, 경영정보)로 한국학생들
과 같이 배우게 됩니다. 이러한 2+2 교육시스템은 외국인 학생들이 중도탈락 없이 학교 및 한국에 안착할 수 있
게 설계되었습니다. 또한 해외 기업탐방 또는 문화탐방의 기회를 제공하여, 학생들의 글로벌 역량을 강화할 수 있
는 기회를 제공합니다.
경영학과 글로벌테크노경영전공
GTM전공은 4차 산업혁명이 가져오는 변화를 이해하고, 이에 대응할 수 있는 글로벌 기술경영 융합 인재 양성을 목
표로 하고 있습니다. 핵심 경영학을 기반으로 빅데이터 분석, 핀테크, 기술마케팅, 소프트웨어 프로그래밍 등 다양한
융합교과목과 기업과 연계하여 기업의 실제 문제를 대학에서 배운 지식을 적용하여 해결하는 실무 중심의 캡스톤디
자인을 제공합니다. 학생들의 글로벌 역량을 강화하기 위해, 해외대학에서 수학하고 학점을 취득하는 단기 해외 교
육 프로그램을 운영하고 있으며, 미국 몽클레어, 피츠버그 경영대학과 복수학위를 운영하여 해외학위를 취득할 수
있는 기회를 제공합니다.
창의융합대학
지능형반도체공학과
인공지능, 5G, IoT, 자율주행 등 4차 산업으로 인해 첨단분야에 일어나는 급격한 패러다임 변화의 중심에 ‘
지능형반도체’가 있습니다. 지능형반도체 분야는 지능형 서비스 구현을 위한 최첨단 인공지능소자(Artificial
Intelligent Semiconductor Device), 시스템-인-패키징(System-in-Packaging), 특히 차세대 이종소자집적화
(Heterogeneous Integration)를 다루는 분야로서 지능형반도체 분야의 소자, 설계 및 제조공정의 학문적 발전을
선도하고 차세대 반도체 산업의 수요에 선제적으로 대응할 수 있는 실무 지향적 교육을 목표로 하고 있습니다.
미래에너지융합학과
에너지는 모든 인간 활동의 바탕으로서, 인류문명의 발달에 있어 필수적인 역할을 해 왔고 이는 미래에도 마찬가지
입니다. 서울과학기술대학교 미래에너지융합학과에서는 급변하는 에너지산업 환경 변화 속에서, 에너지 전환과 첨
단 에너지 기술개발을 선도할 글로벌 융합인재를 양성합니다. 에너지 기술에 대한 공학적 전문지식과 사회과학적 소
양과의 연계를 통해, 단순한 에너지 공학도를 넘어 에너지 부문을 선도할 수 있는 거시적 안목을 갖춘 융합형 공학인
재를 육성하는 데에 교육 목적이 있습니다. 무엇보다 기후변화 대응과 지속가능한 에너지 부문 정착을 위한 첨단에

Department of Mechanical System and Design Engineering
Mechanical System and Design Engineering deal with a wide breath of topics encompassing the
fundamentals of mechanical engineering, professional know-know in product design, manufacturing
technology, NT/IT/BT, electrical and electrionics control, robotics, and computer and materials
technology. Graudate find career as design engineers and researchers in fields such as mechanical
and information technology, plant engineering, robotics, and transportation(automobiles/aviation /
railorad) technolgoy.
Department of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering

The Department of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering consists of conventional mechanical
engineering and its applied area of automotive engineering. The Mechanical Engineering Department
conducts experimental and analytical research on fundamental and applied topics in the general
fields of design/manufacturing and thermo/fluidic engineering. Applied topics include fields such as
MEMS, Nanoscience, Biomedical Engineering, Laser Engineering, Robotics, Applied Computational
Engineering, and Environment Engineering. The automotive engineering department keeps evolving
with the technology of communication, material science and environmental engineering based on
mechanical and electrical engineering. Its area is becoming diversified to include next-generation
vehicles and green-transportation systems such as electric-vehicles, fuel-cell vehicles and smart
cars with conventional vehicle chassis, engines, and transmissions.
Department of Safety Engineering

Safety engineering studies the causes and process of industrial disasters and explores scientific
and technological means to prevent them from occurring. While traditional engineering disciplines
are mainly about production processes, focusing on the movement of energy or substances, safety
engineering scientifically identifies accidents that emerge from the production process to provide a
healthy production environment for human beings to work in.
Department of Materials Science and Engineering

Materials science and engineering, an integral part of engineering for industrial development,
is required for the research and development of new materials based on an understanding of the
structure and properties of materials. The curriculum of the DMSE covers basic knowledge on the
structure, characterization, and manufacturing of multi-scale new materials for NT, BT, ET, and IT
applications, which is indispensable domain of technology for the 21st century.
Department of Civil Engineering
Civil Engineering aims to seek nature-oriented and human friendly solutions in building urban
ingrastructure. While striking a find balance between conservation and development, students are
challenged to find economic, eco-friendly, and efficient measures to plan, design, construct, and
maintain infrastructure. Throguh competitive faculty and education facilities, the Civil Engineering
curriculum cultivates students with a strong basis of foundational theories, social responsibility and
creativity.
School of Architecture
- Architectural Engineering Program
Closely associated with one of the basic human needs, shelter, Architectural Engineering addresses
the notion of creating space for people. This highly technical field of study places great importance
on engineering education, while examining the relevant expertise in both engineering and design.
The school of Architucture offers high-quality lectrues, as well as practice and experiment sessions
in architectural structure, construction, environment, and equipment.
- Architecture Program
The Architecture Program at the Seoul National University of Science and Technology started with
the opening of the university. It has since been reorganized as a internationally recognized five-year
bachelor of architecture program in 2002, in accordance with the Korean Architectural Accreditation
Board (KAAB). Centering on the architectural design studio, the educational curriculum focuses on
the combination of critical thinking, design and architectural practice. We offer academic courses in
digital design, structure, environment, construction, and building code to to foster creative talent and
leaders in the field of architecture.

and Communication Engineering
Department of Electrical and Information Engineering
The Electrical and Information Engineering Program is designed to create the IT leaders of the21st
century. The program focuses on education and research of diverse subjects ranging from embedded
systems and information communication to intelligent robots to power generation, transformation, and
transmission technologies. Recently, the program has been expanding to include renewable energy
development, display technology, and bioengineering. Professors from excellent research institutes
and with significant industry background train high-level engineers with technical competence and
character. With continuous efforts to contribute to society, the program constantly strives to expand its
research areas and educational systems to respond flexibly to changes in the industrial environment.

Department of Electronic and IT Media Engineering
Electronic and IT Media Engineering integrates Electronic Engineering and Media IT engineering in
order to foster talent that can take the lead in the high-tech IT industry. IT technology has changed
virtually every aspect of modern society; in particular, a wide array of technologies and services are
now starting to converge in electronics, telecommunication, broadcasting, multimedia, and internet
technologies. In order to enable students to effectively respond to the needs of an information-
oriented society, the department promotes a thorough understanding of Electronic Engineering and
Media IT Engineering. It also offers challenging in-depth courses for each field with the overarching
goal of nurturing highly competent researchers who can exert their strengths in developing cutting-
edge technologies.
Department of Computer Science and Engineering

With the goal of educating creative minds who can assume leadership roles in the ICT industry, the
department offers courses on both computer software and hardware. The Department of Computer
Science and Engineering specifically aims to nurture advanced personnel who can work in various
fields involving computer sciences such as the development, operation, and maintenance of computer
software and systems. Acknowledged by the Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea,
the department provides intensive computer science courses. Furthermore, Computer Science and
Engineering studies software, a key area of the Fourth Industrial Revolution that can be represented by
AI, big data, internet security, 5G, augmented reality (AR) and cryptocurrency. The department is an open
environment for students to grow into the future leaders of a software-oriented society.
College of Energy and Biotechnology

Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering is a field of study that analyzes ways to render the manufacture
of chemical and biological products more efficient and economical. Students in the program study
manufacturing equipment design, construction, and operation. In recent years, the program has
contributed greatly to the development of new and renewable energy, sustainable and clean manufacturing
processes, and the production of key component materials for IT and biotechnology industries. Chemical
and Biomolecular Engineering is expected to play a significant role in various industry areas including
textile, semiconductors, steel, automobiles, shipbuilding, aerospace, energy, environmental technology,
and traditional plant engineering.

are garnering international attention as they are present everywhere across the globe. As abnormal
temperatures, depletion of the ozone layer, and desertification deteriorate our environment, there
is an imminent need to address these serious environmental issues. To this end, Environmental
Engineering strives to generate environmental experts to promptly respond to these threats.
- Major in Environmental Policy

The social demand for converged talents are increasing in conjunction with the Fourth Industrial
Revolution, and this is the same in the field of environmental engineering. The environmental
industries are evolving from the existing end of pipe processing facilities into environmental
engineering, management, policy and services. The management, policy, and prevention in the field
of environmental engineering is increasing with the development of the environmental industries.
To meet these demands, the department of environmental engineering is the first department in
Korea to open and operate a convergence major in environmental engineering and policy science.
In addition to the existing engineering courses, the curriculum has been modified to include social
science courses necessary for policy. Through this curriculum, we seek to train convergence
practitioners that implements social safety and civic happiness based on the general understanding
of environmental engineering and policy science.
Department of Food Science and Technology

While linking bodily phenomena to health, medical care, food, environment, and energy, the Food Science
and Technology Department seeks to define sophisticated processes such as cell fusion and genetic
modification. By doing so, the study identifies highly productive varieties, flavoring, and herbal ingredients,
mitigating the potential risks found in food and agricultural security for the future. Also examined are
the comprehensive aspects of human health, including the production, storage, processing, distribution,
and consumption of foods. The curriculum enables graduates to adapt to the recent industry trends of
globalization, information, and industrialization.
Department of Fine Chemistry

The Department of Fine Chemistry was founded to help advance one of the nation’s flagship industries
by fostering experts who can effectively offer technological solutions and expertise required in this field.
Fine Chemistry is a study that enhances the performance of raw materials by adding functions and values.
Requiring precision technology in examining the molecular design and process, the study is applied to
create products ranging from daily necessities to raw materials for high-tech solutions. Fine Chemistry
is defined by the creation and synthesis of new substances. The applied products and areas include
surfactants, aromatics, cosmetics, pigments, paint adhesives, macromolecules, pollution control facilities,
and health and medical care.

Department of Optometry
The SeoulTech Optometry Department boasts one of the nation’s top optometry programs. As an integrated
science of increasing significance in the coming future, optometry looks into the science of vision correction. The
department places equal emphasis on theoretic knowledge in optics, dissection, physiology, and materials for
accurate vision correction as well as its clinical application in treating visual functions, eye diseases, and refractive
examination. Leading figures of optical research, academics, and industry are proudly trained in SeoulTech.
Department of Sports Science

The Department of Sports Science seeks to develop professionals who can contribute to the advancement of the
sports industry and sports science—both of which are rapidly developing along with the growth of the social, cultural,
and economic value of sports activities. The curriculum consists of practical content based on humanities, social
sciences, and natural sciences to help develop theoretical knowledge, professional practice, and instructional skills. In
addition, through a profound understanding and analysis of exercise mechanisms, the program cultivates the ability
to understand and apply social, psychological, physiological, and management concepts regarding sports. By offering
lectures as well as on-site training pertaining to fitness assessment, prescription, development, promotion, and
management, the department seeks to foster competent experts with both theoretic expertise and field experience.

Department of Design (Industrial Design Program, Visual Design Program)
The university’s Department of Art and Industrial Design and Department of Visual Communication
Design have been integrated into the Department of Design. The goal of this department is to
integrate design research and design education to produce graduates with the expertise necessary
to meet social demand. Our department was established to pursue a living culture system based
on creativity and emotional intelligence. Through integrated education, we have been training the
professionals’ modeling power, scientific thinking, and innovation. In order to train talented individuals
with a global vision, the Department of Design has a long-term goal of a "world 60 large design
department approach,” which was set as a target to characterize the "strengthening of international
competitiveness" for social enterprises. The characterization strategy for the "educational and legal
validity" is to expand the opening of specialized seasonal semester and regular semester English
subject courses that are meant to achieve a higher level of internationalization. The department also
aims to develop systematic teaching methods in various fields of speciality. The "strengthening of

and creative spirits in the field of ceramic arts, the Department of Ceramic Arts enables students to explore

Department of Metal Arts and Design
The Department of Metal Art and Design seeks to cultivate professional and creative minds who will
lead the 21st century in the fields of design. Intent on producing world-class designers of jewelry,
cultural products, and metalwork, the department contributes to disseminating metalwork culture
around the globe and advancing the industry. To this end, students in the department carry out
coordinated and systematic research on the theory and technology of metalwork and jewelry design.

students learn courses of advanced level in each specific field of business administration (accounting,
finance, marketing, operations management, organizational behavior & human resource management,

- GTM(Global Technology Management)

C. 申请人注意事项
1) 所有文件需要韩文或者英文编写若有英文或韩文以外的文件务必附加韩文或英文翻译公证资料
※ 提交公证文件时，请把原本放前面，公证文件放后面
2) 所有文件必须提交原件
※ 提交复印件时，请一起提交原件以供比较，或者提交颁发机构的原件对照确认书
3) 提交材料时请按照提交材料目录上的顺序排好放到纸袋子后提交
4) 在提交外国大学的成绩证明、毕业证明、在校证明等资料时需同时提交驻外韩国大使馆“领事认证书”
或驻韩本国大使馆发行的“在外教育机关的认证书”。

5) 提交（准毕业）证明书的申请者被入取后，须在入学后30日内提交最终毕业(准毕业)证明书
