The heading titles are different


than the section titles and they
are sometimes referred to as
“signposting”, or in other words,
telling the reader information
about what is coming in that
section. These occur in the paper,
specifically between the
“Abstract” and “References”
of the section titles.

Hanging
indentation
A hanging indent is inserted at the end of the work in the list of
References. The first line of every entry is flushed left and the
subsequent lines are indented 5 spaces.

You can insert a hanging indent by dragging the ruler’s lower


triangle (not the square) to the first dot after number 1, or
selecting the paragraph and pressing ctrl+T (view table of
shortcuts in course 2).
