The result of the Class-XIl examination 2022-2023 conducted by CBSE has been declared today. The following is informed to the stakeholders:- 1 RESULTS ON NET CBSE is hosting its results on the net with the technical collaboration NIC and NeGD, Govt. of India. The students can access their results through the following website:- ¥_ https:/www.cbse.gov.in/ ¥ http:/www. results.nic.in/ Y htips://results. digilocker.gov.in/ ¥ https://umang.gov.in Mobile App-UMANG (Available both on Android & iOS) Digital academic documents through DigiLocker- © CBSE will provide Digital Academic Documents viz. Mark-Sheet cum Certificates, Migration Certificates and Skill Certificates (wherever applicable) through its own digital academic repository “Parinam Manjusha” immediately after the declaration of result. https://cbse.digitallockergovin/ * Students can download mobile app from Google Play (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details ?id=com.digilocker.android) or Apple App Store (https://apps.apple.com/in/app/digilocker/id1320618078) to access their certificates. * CBSE is also giving access to schools on CBSE's academic repository - Parinam Manjusha to download the Digital Academic Documents of their students through _DigiLocker. Schools can log in at https://cbse.digitallockergov.in/ by clicking Sign in option using login credentials already shared by CBSE. * Digilocker access has also been extended to the students of CBSE affiliated schools abroad. The students of these schools can access their Digital academic documents via Digilocker in following ways. CENTRAL BOARD OF SECONDARY EDUCATION PRESS RELEASE CLASS XII RESULT FOR EXAMINATIONS-2023 DATE: 12.05.2023 The work of the 2022 examinations was completed in the month of October 2022 and immediately thereafter, Board started the preparations for the conduct of the 2023 examinations. Within 03 months, all the preparations were made. While declaring the results of the 2022 examinations, Board informed the date of the start of examinations of 2023 i.e. 15 Feb. 2023. SCHEDULE OF EXAMINATIONS The schedule of examinations was as given herein:- CLASS From To TOTAL DAYS xi 18.02.2023 05.04.2023 | 50 x 15.02.2023 21.03.2023 36 As there are no subject streams in CBSE, students can offer any combination of subjects. Accordingly, more than 40,000 subject combinations were offered by the students. CBSE prepared the date sheet in such a manner that students would get sufficient time between the examinations of chosen subjects. The examination of Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology were given priority in the Date Sheet so that these students would get sufficient time for the preparation of JEE(Main) and NEET-UG. ORIENTATION OF SCHOOLS ‘To ensure that examinations are conducted smoothly & successfully, a live webinar was conducted by the CBSE for all its affiliated schools prior to the start of the examinations, which was attended by more than 1 lac teachers of CBSE schools. In this webinar, important information regarding the conduct of examinations and evaluation was communicated. ‘The Board issues detailed instructions to all the school functionaries involved in the examination process. This year, prior to the start of the examination, the Board also prepared and shared instructional video clips for their guidance. 3o-° COMPARING THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS BATCH This year, the pass percentage of students in class Xi is 87.33, which betters the pass percentage of 83.40 % of 2019 in the pre-covid period FEEDBACK DURING THE CONDUCT OF THE EXAMINATION Board has developed a very strong offline and online feedback system to get feedback on the question papers. Appropriate action has been taken by the Board on the basis of such feedback during the preparation of results. COVID COMPLIANT EXAMINATIONS Although the impact of the Covid pandemic is over, Board decided to conduct the 2023 examinations with all precautions and accordingly, all desired support was provided to the examination centres for the conduct of safe examinations. In the interest of the safety of the students and staff, CBSE provided the following special funds to the schools once again: 1. Rs. 5/- per student per day for both classes X and XII for purchasing hand sanitiser, soap, masks dustbins etc. CBSE has spent about Rs. 1.95 crore on this account in the examinations. 2. Rs. 3/- per candidate per day for providing water to the students in the examinations CBSE has spent about Rs. 1.17 crore on this account. The number of students appearing in the CBSE examinations is increasing every year. To avoid the problem of accessing the DigiLocker, this year again, CBSE has provided the PIN to the schools in advance, to be given to the candidates ahead of the result declaration. Students can log in to their DigiLocker either by using their PIN or with their Aadhar number. Further, the Board will be supplying Printed Marksheets cum Passing Certificates also to the students through their schools. (i) TO THE REGULAR STUDENTS IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES: Foreign students can also get their digital documents on their emails through the CBSE DigiLocker page. Their Printed Marksheets cum Passing Certificates will be supplied through their schools. (ii) TO THE PRIVATE STUDENTS: Private students will also be provided electronic documents in their DigiLocker which could be accessed through their Aadhaar number. Except for the students of the Regional Office, Delhi East and West, printed documents will be sent to the address ¢- given in the examination form. For the students of Delhi East and West, printed documents will be available from their examination centre. NO MERIT LIST ‘As per the earlier decision of the Board to avoid unhealthy competition among the students, no merit list is declared by the CBSE. Also, Board is not awarding first, ‘second or third divisions to its students. However, the board will issue the merit Certificate to 0.1% of students who have scored the highest marks in the subjects. VERIFICATION, PHOTOCOPY, AND RE-EVALUATION CBSE will also provide facilities to the students as provided in earlier years of getting their marks verified, obtaining photocopies, and re-evaluation. In this regard, a notice is being issued separately. However, the date of start of this facility is 16.05.2023. IMPROVEMENT OPPORTUNITY IN THE SUPPLEMENTARY EXAMINATION In light of the recommendations made by the National Education Policy- 2020, CBSE has changed the nomenclature of the Compartment Examination to Supplementary Examination. Further, as it is envisaged in the National Education Policy, 2020 students should be provided more opportunities to improve their performance, hence, Class XII students will be allowed to improve their performance in 01 subject in the ‘supplementary examination. For all the students who are placed in the Supplementary category and for those who wish to improve their performance, the Supplementary examination will be conducted IN July, 2023. Dates will be announced soon. ‘Supplementary examination will be held on the syllabus of Main Examination- 2023. DATE OF 2024 MAIN EXAMINATIONS The Board has decided to conduct the 2024 examinations from the 15" of February 2024. SPECIAL SUPPORT AND APPRECIATION Board Examinations assessment was conducted successfully with the support and hard and selfless work done by the Management, Principals, and Teachers/Staff of the affiliated schools. CBSE express a grateful thanks and appreciation to everyone. Another section that supported the successful conduct of examinations is the real stakeholders i.e. students and their parents. They followed all the instructions passed by CBSE strictly and maintained discipline. Their support is well recognised by the CBSE, 2— CBSE is extremely grateful to the governments of the countries where CBSE has its examination centres, for supporting CBSE. The board is equally grateful to the India Missions abroad who selflessly supported CBSE and its students tirelessly in the smooth conduct of the examinations. CBSE is thankful to the Central and State Government officials for extending their support in the smooth conduct of examinations. Especially, in the states of Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland where examinations were conducted successfully during the elections with the help of the Election Commission respective State Governments and thus CBSE is extremely grateful for their unconditional support. Media friends deserve a big thanks for placing facts before the nation and supporting CBSE in disseminating information which was helpful in the conduct of examinations. USE OF TECHNOLOGY Extensive use of technology facilitated the smooth conduct of Main Examinations in 2023. The Board has developed several in-house IT enabled Management Systems like Online Affiliated School Information System (OASIS), “ae aar’- Comprehensive digital platform for all exam related activities catering to all Stakeholders, Centralized Admission Master Correction (CAMC) System, Exam Centre Locater App (ECL), Online grades & marks collection Systems (e-IG, e-Prac, IAPX & e-Theory), Online Exam Centre Management System (OECMS), Confidential Material Tracking & Monitoring (CMTM) system, Theory Evaluation Trend Analysis,(TETrA), Modular Result Compilation System (MRCS), Advanced data analytics/data forensic to ensure fairness in examinations, Re-engineered Outlier System for Examination (ROSE), Grade Calculation System (GCS), Uftumaigia1- Digital Academic Repository of CBSE, Security PIN based activation for students’ DigiLocker accounts, Blockchain Implementation in CBSE Results and many more systems, all of which helped in smooth and fair conduct of examinations, subsequent evaluation and compilation & deciaration of results.
