DAILY WEATHER REPORT FOR UTTAR PRADESH

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 0830 HOURS IST OF 05-01-2023

 Weather was dry over the state. Moderate to Dense fog occurred at isolated places over the state. Cold Day to
severe cold day conditions occurred at a few places over the state.
 On Wednesday, day temperatures fell appreciably (-2.1°C to -4.0°C) in Gorakhpur division; rose appreciably
(2.1°C to 4.0°C) in Kanpur division and no large changed in the remaining divisions over the state. They were
below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) in Prayagraj division and markedly below normal (-5.0°C or less) in the
remaining divisions over the state. The highest maximum temperature over the state was 19.1°C recorded at
Prayagraj (O).
 The night temperatures fell markedly (-4.0°C or less) in Varanasi division; fell appreciably (-2.1°C to -4.0°C)
in Ayodhya, Prayagraj & Kanpur divisions and no large changed in the remaining divisions over the state. They
were appreciably below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) in Prayagraj & Moradabad divisions; below normal (-
1.6°C to -3.0°C) in Varanasi, Kanpur & Lucknow divisions and normal (-1.5°C to 1.5°C) in the remaining
divisions over the state. The lowest minimum temperature over the state was 3.9°C recorded at Jhansi (O).
