State Weather Forecast Bulletin for Uttar Pradesh

1. Significant Weather Features:
 Conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon over some parts of East Uttar Pradesh
during next 2-3 days.
 The Depression (Remnant of Cyclonic Storm ‘Biparjoy’) over central parts of East Rajasthan moved nearly
eastwards and weakened and lay centered at 0830 hours IST of today, the 19th June as a well marked low
pressure area over central parts of Northeast Rajasthan and neighbourhood. It is very likely to continue to move
nearly east-northeastwards and weaken further during next 24 hours.
 The cyclonic circulation over northeast Bihar & neighbourhood now lies over Bihar & adjoining East Uttar
Pradesh and extends upto 0.9 km above mean sea level. The trough from this cyclonic circulation to south
Chhattisgarh has become less marked.
2. Main Weather Observations: -
Very Light rain occurred at isolated places over the state. Severe Heat Wave/Heat wave conditions observed at a few
places over East Uttar Pradesh.
On Sunday, the day temperatures were fell appreciably in Meerut division and no large changed over the state.
They were markedly above normal (5.0°C or more) in Gorakhpur, Varanasi divisions; appreciably above normal (3.1°C
to 5.0°C) in Ayodhya, Prayagraj, Lucknow divisions; above normal (1.6°C to 3.1°C) in Bareilly & Jhansi division;
below normal (1.6°C to 3.1°C) in Kanpur division and normal (-1.5°C to 1.5°C) in the remaining divisions of the state.
The highest maximum temperature over the state was 43.8°C recorded at Prayagraj(PBO) & Banda.
The night temperatures were fell appreciably in Agra division; rose appreciably in Moradabad division and
no large changed in the remaining divisions over the state. They were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) in
Kanpur & Moradabad divisions; above normal (1.6°C to 3.1°C) in Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Ayodhya, Prayagraj,
Kanpur, Bareilly, Lucknow divisions and normal (-1.5°C to 1.5°C) in the remaining divisions of the state. The
lowest minimum temperature over the state was 23.8° C recorded at Muzaffarnagar.
3. SYNOPTIC CONDITIONS

23-06-2023 Rain/thundershower is very likely at isolated places over West Thunderstorm accompanied with lightening and
(Day-5) UP and few places over East UP. Gusty wind (30-40KMPH) is very likely at
isolated places over the state.
(b) Outlook for next subsequent 02 days
24-06-2023 Rain/thundershower is very likely at a few places over west UP and at many places
(Day-6) over east UP.
25-06-2023 Rain/thundershower is very likely at many places over the state.

(c) Temperature Outlook: -

 Maximum temperature is very likely no large change during next 5 days over west UP and for next
24 hours over East UP thereafter gradually fall by 2- 4 ℃ during subsequent 4 days in east UP.
 Minimum Temperature is very likely to No Large Change during next 2 days and fall by 2-4 ℃
thereafter.
