State Weather Forecast Bulletin for Uttar Pradesh

1. Significant Weather Features:
 The Western Disturbance now seen as a cyclonic circulation over central Pakistan & neighbourhood and
extends between 3.1 km & 9.3 km above mean sea level.
 An induced cyclonic circulation lies over south Pakistan & adjoining West Rajasthan extending upto 1.5
km above mean se level.
 A cyclonic circulation lies over southwest Uttar Pradesh & neighbourhood extending upto 3.1 km above
mean se level.
 A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect Northwest India from the night of 01st May, 2023.

2. Main Weather Observations: -
Light to Moderate rain/thundershower accompanied with thunderstorm & Lightening occurred at isolated places
over over the state. Chief amount of rain fall recorded in cms(>=1 cm) are Moradabad (dist Moradabad) 4, Bareilly
Pbo (dist Bareilly) 2, Suar (dist Rampur) 2, Banda (dist Banda) 2,Nakur (dist Saharanpur) 1, Bijnor (dist Bijnor) 1,
Rampur (dist Rampur) 1, Chandpur (dist Bijnor) 1.
On Saturday, the day temperatures were appreciably fell in Jhansi division; appreciably rose in Bareilly
division and no large changed in the remaining divisions over the state. They were markedly below normal ( -
5.0°C or below) in Kanpur, Jhansi, Agra & Meerut divisions; appreciably below normal (--3.1°C to -5.0°C) in
Bareilly & Moradabad divisions and below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) in the remaining divisions over the state
except Gorakhpur division where it was normal (-1.5°C to 1.5°C). The highest maximum temperature over the state
was 39.0°C recorded at L. Kheri.
The night temperatures were appreciably fell in Bareilly division; appreciably rose in Jhansi division and no
large changed over the remaining divisions of the state . They were below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) in Prayagraj,
Bareilly, Moradabad, Jhansi & Agra divisions; above normal (--1.6°C to -3.0°C) in Gorakhpur division and normal (-
1.5°C to 1.5°C) in the remaining divisions over the state. The lowest minimum temperature over the state was
18.30C recorded at Bareilly(PBO).
3. SYNOPTIC CONDITIONS
 The Western Disturbance now seen as a cyclonic circulation over central Pakistan & neighbourhood and
extends between 3.1 km & 9.3 km above mean sea level.
 An induced cyclonic circulation lies over south Pakistan & adjoining West Rajasthan extending upto 1.5
km above mean se level.
 A cyclonic circulation lies over southwest Uttar Pradesh & neighbourhood extending upto 3.1 km above
mean se level.
