During normal mode of operation, power to the load is supplied from the grid by DC/AC inverter BRAVO (10). At the
same time, a battery bank (7) is charged by a charger (5).
In case of main grid disappearance, the load receives necessary back up power from the battery bank (7), initially. At
the same time phase monitoring relays (6), send start up signal to the ECGs (1). Within several minutes, the ECGs
become fully operational and start providing necessary AC power to the load via DC/DC converters (4) and DC/AC
inverters (10).
When the grid resumes, phase monitoring relays (6) open dry contacts and ECGs (1) enter in standby mode. The ECGs
(1) remain in standby mode until the charger (5) recharges the batteries. Consequently, the ECGs execute shut down
procedure when the battery bank is fully charged.
Preheating Unit (PHU) (3) is used to keep batteries inside electrical box of the generator G5 always charged, when the
generator is in stand-by mode. And also, if needed to keep electrolyte inside generator under certain temperature in
stand-by mode.
