PRODUCT QUALITY CONTROL CERTIFICATE

This document certifies that the Rain Bird products are designed,
produced, sampled and tested in full accordance with Rain Bird
Corporation’s Quality Control Standards which, in all particulars, meet or
exceed Industry Standards of quality and performance. Validation testing
is completed when products are released and maintained yearly. Specific
product lines and key areas tested along with the target are listed below.

- 1800 Series Sprays

o Pressure Surge Test: 300 PSI
o Operation and Leak Test: 15-70 PSI
o Sand Box Test: 500 Cycles

- DV Series Valves
o Pressure Surge Test: 300 PSI Minimum
o Operation and Leak Test: 15-150 PSI and 3-40 GPM
o Grit Tank Test: 2 Hours
o Electrical Operation: 24VAC with 0.45A inrush and 0.25A
holding current

- HEVAN Series Nozzles (Smart WaterMark Approved)

o Pressure Surge Test: 300 PSI
o Operation and Leak Test: 15-30 PSI
o Distribution Uniformity Test: 70% Average DULQ

- ESP-RZX Series Controllers and Rain Sensors

o Electrical Operation (Outputs): 24VAC with 11VA max
inrush and 5VA max holding current
o Certifications: UL, cUL, CE, DSA, C-Tick, FCC Part 15b,
WEEE, S-Mark, IP24

Except for electrical certifications, testing is conducted in Rain Bird’s

facilities using gauges that are calibrated by a National Institute of
Standards and Technology (NIST) facility to ensure accuracy. We use a
variety of gauges but our main brands to measure flow, pressure, and other
key elements are the following.

These gauges are maintained in calibration as part of Rain Bird’s routine
