Our lifestyle should include a commitment to good health. A healthy lifestyle can aid
in the prevention of chronic diseases and debilitating conditions. Our self-esteem and self-
image depend on how we feel about ourselves and how we will take care of our physical
and mental well-being. Adopting a healthy lifestyle by taking care of our
bodies. Hypertension is one of the chronic medical health conditions where blood pressure
is increased. It states that hypertension is diagnosed when the systolic blood pressure is 140
or higher and the diastolic blood pressure is 90 or higher. It is one of the chronic medical
illnesses that could give us cardiovascular diseases. This condition is brought on by the heart
having to work harder and faster due to excessive blood pressure. Heart attack and other
cardiovascular health issues are primarily brought on by hypertension. Additionally,
drinking, smoking, high salt diets, and lack of physical activity/exercise are all risk factors. It
may result in elevated blood pressure.

Over a billion individuals, or about 1 in 4 men and 1 in 5 women, are thought to have
the illness, making it a significant cause of early death globally. Two-thirds of instances of
hypertension are found in low- and middle-income nations, which bear a disproportionate
burden of the disease in large part because of recent increases in risk factors in those
populations. Many persons who have hypertension do not have symptoms and can be
ignorant that they have a condition. Early morning headaches, nosebleeds, abnormal
heartbeats, vision changes, and ear buzzing are just a few symptoms. In more severe cases,
symptoms like exhaustion, nausea, vomiting, confusion, anxiety, chest pain, and trembling
may also appear. If untreated, hypertension can result in heart attacks, heart failure,
irregular heartbeats, and chronic chest discomfort (commonly known as angina), all of
which increase the risk of premature death.

By narrowing or rupturing the arteries that carry blood and oxygen to the brain,
hypertension can also result in strokes. It can also harm the kidneys, which can result in
renal failure. By hardening arteries and reducing the flow of blood and oxygen to the heart,
high blood pressure harms the heart. Moreover, Reducing and controlling mental stress,
frequently monitoring blood pressure, we should seek medical advice in treating high blood
pressure, and managing other medical disorders are all ways to manage hypertension.
Changing our lifestyle is one of the improvements in diet and exercise, quitting smoking, and
refraining from drinking alcohol can all help lessen the signs and risks of hypertension.
Taking care of one self is a big factor to have good and longest life to live.
