CEA ACTIVITY 47128 & 47129 - 418SQN ANZAC DAY SUPPORT SERVICES
INTRODUCTION
1. 418 SQN cadets will participate in the ANZAC Day Dawn and Lunch Services at
Williamstown Cenotaph and Newport RSL. 418SQN will provide an armed catafalque party for the
Lunch service at Newport RSL.
AIM
2. The aim of this administrative instruction is to detail the tasking, administrative, logistic
and personnel support to successfully deliver the activities.
OBJECTIVE
3. The objective is to adequately resource and deliver the following two (2) elements of the
two ANZAC Day Support Services:
Element 1. Personnel and Logistics resources to support the activity operations (Annex A)
Element 2. Activity training program (Annex B)
Personnel
5. The Activity Coordinator is LAC(AAFC) David Kamath, mob: 0432 362 636, email
David.Kamath@airforcecadets.gov.au and should be your first point of contact for any issues or
concerns.
LOGISTICAL SUPPORT
9. Detailed in Annex A.
Toilets
10. Public Toilets at both locations will be available for use throughout the duration of both
activities. Due to the large-scale nature of these events, toilets may be difficult to access. Cadets and
staff should ensure they use the toilet prior to arrival to reduce the need throughout the service(s).
Toilets will be available at:
11. 418 SQN will have first aid kits available during the activity. All staff are to be the first point
of contact for any minor medical issue (e.g. foot care).
12. For other medical issues the First Aid Officer for both activities will be AC(AAFC) Ryan
Powell.
SECURITY
13. As both ANZAC Day support services are in public, all staff and cadets are required to
uphold the highest standard of personal safety and be aware of their surroundings at all times.
14. Staff and cadets are not required to carry their photo ID throughout the duration of the
ANZAC Day support services.

PERSONAL TASKING
1. The ANZAC Day support services are MANDATORY for all 418SQN members. Leave
applications are to be submitted via to leave.418sqn@airforcecadets.gov.au prior to 25 Apr 23.
2. The activities can be found on CEA under Activity Number 47128 & 47129.

otherwise

4. The Weapons Officer and nominated support staff will be available from 0400hrs to draw
weapons from the RAAF Base Point Cook Armoury to use for the duration of the activity.
5. The Weapons Officer and nominated support staff will also be available to return all drawn
weapons to the RAAF Base Point Cook Armoury at 1445hrs.

Meeting Location
Note: please be aware, there will be significant parking restrictions on the day. Members should aim
to park locally and walk to the meeting location. The Meeting Location IS NOT the Williamstown
Cenotaph.
